Ok, so I figured I'd post a puzzle now. This one will hopefully get people thinking outside of the box.

After reading through OpAphid's YT profile again I discovered there was a secret message hidden in it. The key that I discovered was:

I believe the credit for the tedious work goes to me and acid. That step where we had to type in all that hex, not fun. :-( I tried to OCR it but I couldn't because of the emboss.

I'm having a hard time visualizing how this was solved. When you say outside one is set to E, what does that mean? I understand the 112 part, but I dont understand how E ring fits.
