Kelly, it was an entirely serious post. And it belongs in Concerns and Complaints, because it's a complaint about a concern -- having to do specifically with this forum and the way it's being moderated.

I put the message in this thread, rather than starting a new one, because this is the thread that had all of its responses surgically removed. If I need to start a new thread in this section, I'll do so.

But if this message gets removed from this thread and placed elsewhere, I will seriously blow a gasket.

And I'm not joking.

ok sure, the two posts you just made belong here...

but the dolphins and cherries do not. it's not the way the forum is run. as unorginized people claim this place to be, it actually is very orginized. Everything stays in its place. If it's out of place. the moderators do their job, and clean it up.

Other forums, don't mind the clutter and the hijacking taking place. Here we do, because we find it's unproductive, and discurages the serious discussion about the true topic of the thread.

edit: to remove caps as it might be seen as flaming, and adding "serious"

You like chocolate cake? I had an awesome chocolate cake this weekend. I can get the recipe.

Or strawberries marinated in balsamic vinegar and sugar. They sound weird, but they taste wonderful.

Kelly, I might agree with you if:

1) a No Threadjacking policy had been officially instituted. But nothing in the Forum Etiquette, Rules, and Policies section says a word about it.

2) a No Threadjacking policy had been unofficially enforced in the past. But it hasn't. For example, threadjacking still runs rampant over the video threads ("Jonas is soooo HAWT!" "No, DB is the HAWTEST!!!"). Same for other sections.

3) a decision had been made within the past few days to start enforcing a No Threadjacking policy -- and members of the forum had been notified about it. That's a matter of fundamental fairness: you can't, or at least shouldn't, slam people for engaging in behavior you haven't told them is wrong.

Okay, enough from me. Anybody want to talk about cherries?
