actually, i used to be with telus, and they don't allow you to download ANYTHING from ANYWEBSITE that is not theirs to use on your phone. no backgrounds, ringtones, NADA. they like to claim it's because they want to be able to give the song artists royalties for every ringtone downloaded (like they get more than a cent...if that. i bet their record company gets most of it) but, i personally think it's so that THEY get all your money and you can't download from any free ringtone sites.Killthesmiley wrote:for some reason only certain telephone services allow it.Sarah of the Dead wrote:Okay, there's a possibility I messed this up: I just used the first method, went to wap.mytinyphone.com, downloaded the first ringtone, it downloaded and I got a message saying it's complete...
Er, but I have no idea what happened to the file after that. (I have a Motorola RAZR, which is probably necessary information!) It didn't show up in the ringtone list. Anyone clever enough to point out what I did wrong?
Mine, Telus, doesn't allow it. I've been trying to get it onto my phone, but I jsut can't get it as a ring tone period.
I'm going to have to pay for the connection cable i think...
i hate to be the one to break it to you, but the only ringtones telus users can get are the ones telus makes and you can download from their services!!! sucks, eh?

not sure if anybody can help. i'm using t-mobile and phonezoo seemed to work fine...I was able to upload the mp3 and send it to my phone as a text message, but when i went to download the file it said "unsupported content type" Not sure what that means, it's supposed to take mp3s, right?

how do you send it via Bluetooth? I'm not very technology savvy. I tried to use ToneThis but when you select a song to upload into the program it says that it encountered an error and then the program closes down. Anyways, my new cell phone is equiped with Bluetooth and I have the Tachy theme song on my computer. What now?Sarah of the Dead wrote:Just for the sake of completeness: I got the tone onto my phone, eventually, by downloading it onto my computer and sending it via Bluetooth. (I don't have the software to use a data cable to transfer music; Motorola do seem to like to make life hard.)
Still: Tachyon ringtone! Yay!
Please help me!
I tried to click "send to phone" but it won't work... Do I have to be a member to get it?Sad Panda wrote:This one worked great for me! I love my new ringtone!tigxpup wrote:we all had the same idea! I created one at phonezoo.....it's free and easy to use....
