Er, but I have no idea what happened to the file after that. (I have a Motorola RAZR, which is probably necessary information!) It didn't show up in the ringtone list. Anyone clever enough to point out what I did wrong?
for some reason only certain telephone services allow it.
Mine, Telus, doesn't allow it. I've been trying to get it onto my phone, but I jsut can't get it as a ring tone period.

I'm going to have to pay for the connection cable i think...
actually, i used to be with telus, and they don't allow you to download ANYTHING from ANYWEBSITE that is not theirs to use on your phone. no backgrounds, ringtones, NADA. they like to claim it's because they want to be able to give the song artists royalties for every ringtone downloaded (like they get more than a cent...if that. i bet their record company gets most of it) but, i personally think it's so that THEY get all your money and you can't download from any free ringtone sites.

i hate to be the one to break it to you, but the only ringtones telus users can get are the ones telus makes and you can download from their services!!! sucks, eh?
 :smt022 :smt076 ](*,) <--- i think that about sums it up.

Sarah of the Dead wrote:Just for the sake of completeness: I got the tone onto my phone, eventually, by downloading it onto my computer and sending it via Bluetooth. (I don't have the software to use a data cable to transfer music; Motorola do seem to like to make life hard.)

Still: Tachyon ringtone! Yay!
how do you send it via Bluetooth? I'm not very technology savvy. I tried to use ToneThis but when you select a song to upload into the program it says that it encountered an error and then the program closes down. Anyways, my new cell phone is equiped with Bluetooth and I have the Tachy theme song on my computer. What now?

Please help me!

This one worked great for me! I love my new ringtone!

Can someone make some Oppy ringtones too? ;)
I tried to click "send to phone" but it won't work... Do I have to be a member to get it?
