3. "Right service. Right price." is for Meineke Car Care Center
10. yes, it's Apple, for iTunes

The code part is hex > b64 > text: "Who Knows What Evil Lurks in the Hearts of Men?" The answer to that, of course, is, "The Shadow knows!"

The veabastbbfjr cipher is very likely ROT13 for irnonfgooswe, which anagrams to many, many things. Here's a list of 2 word anagrams:

FOREIGN SWOON
FORGONE WINOS
FORENOON WIGS
FORENOON SWIG
FORENOONS WIG
WOOFER NOSING
FORE SWOONING
SNORE WOOFING
SENOR WOOFING

There are 777 with three words, and almost 4000 with 4 or more words. Those are the ones found by this site, http://wordsmith.org/anagram/index.html. There are more if you use custom terms, like 'foos' for example, and you get things like GO FOOS WINNER.

Finally, I have no idea who Shannon A. Feldstein is. I tried googling it and came up empty.

That's all I have, can't figure out how to put all the puzzle pieces together. Hopefully someone can pick it up from here.

Sorry, when I called it a "quickie" I just meant it was quick for me to make, but I guess it's pretty tough to solve. What did you try?

Well, do you see some stuff that shouldn't be there? Recognize what kind of code it looks like? The output box where you got it from should clue you in. Just remember the translation got ruined on every step.

(You might want to edit your post and break it up like I did here so it doesn't mess up the formatting of the thread.)

after staring for a while i pulled out some stuff and ended up with

Code: Select all

Restore
vandalized
/erot3+AnArChY+vrOseR/

Edit: Also I believe the '/'s represented one word inside of it thus there is three words and one remaining which i believe to be a noun because of the wording so far...

I'm stuck at this part too.

The third looks like "Restore" in reverse.

Be careful. Seems like you may have pulled out the real encoded message and were left with the vandalism.

Don't try to clean it all up in one swoop. Forensic data recovery is a delicate process. Try removing the most obvious thing first, and then see what shows up when you translate again. Keep track of all your modifications, so you can go back to any point in case of disaster.

Since I used the 'v' for vandalized, I put ZDNsMzM3I and did Base 64 to text and got d3l337. My thoughts on that are de-leet (as in taking out the l337) or delete (as in something else we have to delete). Or perhaps that was just to let us know that we needed to remove that part to get what we already have.

There, just like I said, it's graffity everywhere, defacing whatever was behind it... friggin hackers

So, Wonka, any hints to piecing together Jonas' mumbo jumbo? Who's Shannon anyway?
