Saddam Hussein was HANGED...

Ok I stand corrected, the first time I watched it it looked like he was lying down. I dont know something about the knot being in front threw me off. I didnt realize the position of his head. I could have over looked something there, just thought that was weird. Also, I must have missed something along the way(since I dont really watch t.v.) about who executed him. I just think its a shame that we may be in the middle of an un-winable war!

It amazed me that when terrorists in the Middle East beheaded an American, the video was up on the Internet in all its grisly detail, and people wanted to watch it!Ziola wrote:I haven't seen the video either and I have no interest in seeing it. Watching someone die, even someone as evil as him, is not my idea of fun.
I understand curiosity. I crane my neck at car crashes... can't help it. Horror movies, although not my thing, intrigue me. But at least I know those movies are fake. Put in front of me, I admit I'd be curious, but I would definitely not want to watch such horrible things, and I'd never seek it out.

Man, I feel so much more insane now. ok..here we go *gets on treadmill* -- I love watching people having surgery. I realize it aids them and it's not an (intentional) method of suicide. Besides, watching a truly talented surgeon is flat out amazing. Honestly, when I was working at the hospital and a patient on our floor was to have ANY type of procedure done, no matter how disgusting, I was first in line, volunteering to help/watch like a perv.Killthesmiley wrote:spaciegirlreturn wrote:I am so not watching that. Why does everyone want to watch it?
because we are ;living i na morbid and de-sensitized time.

Anyway - that's why I wanted to see it. I watched it twice, 2nd time to show hubby. Yep, that's MORE than enough times for me.
I feel so ashamed now

I have watched it several times now... pausing it at about 2 minutes and again about 2 minutes and 26 seconds. Only because there was a flash( I would assume a camera)I just wanted to see exactly what the pictures were of. This was a video not made for everyone to watch. I on the other hand, am looking into going to school to be a mortician. So it doesnt bother me in the least bit either way. I remember watching face's of death when I was about 7. For whatever reason.. I wasnt freaked out by it.. So, I guess thats why I want to work with the non-living

yeah, fake stuff is different. I love creepy movies, but I don't want to watch someone die, I don't care who it is. I can look at crime scene photos and stuff though...sometimes they freak me out, but even that isn't the same as watching live video of someone dying. I don't know, I guess it's just a matter of personal limits.Broken Kid wrote:It amazed me that when terrorists in the Middle East beheaded an American, the video was up on the Internet in all its grisly detail, and people wanted to watch it!

I cant even do horror movies. To think I was even close to clicking a link to see it. Today if you go one Youtube all the new/ top rates/ most viewed are the hanging. Why? It sucks because I dont even want to see the thumbnail of it... Guess I have to avoid YT's front page for a little. Why would someone want to see someone die?

Aww...I found the last title refreshing in light of such a grave subject. But good for you for figuring out how to do it.
I was a bit intrigued by the idea of watching one of the Saddam videos, but I knew I would never really do it. I just don't have the stomach or heart for it. (I have to turn away from the surgery scenes when I watch Nip/Tuck and when my husband wants to watch a graphic horror movie, I usually start a new hobby or something so I don't have to be so involved as I watch.)

I hope you realize that I suck.::The finest satire is that in which ridicule is combined with so little malice and so much conviction that it even rouses laughter in those who are hit.-Georg Christoph Lichtenberg
