Herman is a squirrel that lives in the area around the rented cabin. Sarah befriended him in Bedside Manner, and found him to be "a good listener," according to her MySpace blog. Herman may have also told Sarah a few things, though, as she states in Mr. Park Ranger that squirrels are "ferocious."

Herman's favorite foods include twigs, power bars, and microbrew beer.

Sarah has since been seen with a stuffed animal Squirrel, which is most likely a replacement for the original Herman.
