resurrection
i think the ceremony is to resurrect their god which will result in something like world domination, salvation, destruction..ect...i think each part of the order believes one of the latter which would explain why theres some parts trying to prevent the ceremony and some trying desperately to fix it. we, however, have no idea yet seem to think its a good idea to prevent the ceremony..

Re: resurrection
While we don't know what the ceremony is, short of Bree being Jesus, it really doesn't matter what they believe. They aren't going to resurrect any god.freakish wrote:i think the ceremony is to resurrect their god which will result in something like world domination, salvation, destruction..ect...i think each part of the order believes one of the latter which would explain why theres some parts trying to prevent the ceremony and some trying desperately to fix it. we, however, have no idea yet seem to think its a good idea to prevent the ceremony..
I want the ceremony prevented simply because these people will do anything to convince Bree to do it, including kidnapping my Beast! Resorting to felonies and stalking to get an unwilling Bree to participate in the ceremony indicates less than above-board motivations. If kidnapping is OK to get Bree to do the ceremony, then nothing is off-limits during the ceremony itself. Bree has good reason not to want to do that ceremony.

I'm not saying that isn't their intent, I'm just saying it's not gonna happen no matter what they believe.freakish wrote:how do you know it isnt to resurrect a god? imo, thats exactly what it is for, and basically any ceremony performed by any order/cult/religious organization ever....
IOW, they are unable to do it, not necessarily unwilling.

Good grief! I'm a Wiccan and use a lot of different names for the God and Goddess, many archaic. I do not " resurrect" anyone, nor have I ever seen any pagan try to do so. We call on deities to watch over us and we pray to them -- same as any mainstream religion-- but I've never seen anyone, of any religion, trying to resurrect a god.
I think you may be watching to much television. No offense, I just mean that you have a somewhat skewed idea of what people are doing in "ceremonies". I've been studying religions of the world for years, and the reality is, no one, short of those who watch too much Charmed and Buffy maybe, is out there trying to raise anybody.

I don't think there is a God in this 'religion'
Maybe it's not even a religion
Killthesmiley has a good point about ceremonies

This makes more sense to me. Bree was brought up to think of it as a religion to make it easier to get her to comply.Sami wrote:I have a feeling the order has something to do with science
And the "ceremony" could very well be some sort of medical procedure, made to look like an important part of the religion.
even thought i don't think the person that started this thread is being serious, i think the ceremony involves using crowley juice to impregenating bree
