You do realize who is trying to solve your puzzle, right? He isn't the sharpest spoon in the knife drawer. If you wanted them to see this information, maybe you should have made the clue more like this:

2 + X = 5

I enjoy them as well, but I think Daniel still wears velcro shoes, so they may be a bit much for him
