Vernal Equinox and Crowley

Post by theresascraps »

I really don't know where to put this, so if you need to move it go ahead. i think the plot will be picking up speed. I researched the Vernal equinox as it relates to Alastair Crowley and it turns out that it is a high holiday with the thelemic cult.
It is actually the start of the year for them and a ritual time. If that is the case and he is a part of the order, then Bree could be in some trouble as it might be when the real ceremony would take place. Look it up on google it is quite interesting...

In fact here is where it says this

The Feast for the Supreme Ritual (the Invocation of Horus) is observed on March 20, and represents the opening of the Thelemic new year.

curious huh??

Well, it is their highest holiday. I entered Vernal Equinox Crowley in google and came across a lot of info. What I found striking was that it is the BIG holiday to these people and a VERY IMPORTANT ceremony takes place....It is also the atart of the high holy time.....

Where are our thelemic posters, now? They could give us some real insight into this. Good find, theresa!

I really think this is all going to tie in...Ms.Kelly and the moons of mars, the water, Spring equinox, it all relates to Crowley and the Thelemites....Very interesting indeed.......
also the whole issue of Bree having to CHOOSE OF HER OWN FREE WILL to do the ceremony. Free will was HUGE to Crowley and his followers, you had to use free will to determine your path.
hmmmmm

The 'religion' is fictional (?)
But I think this is something the creators could use. It would be really cool having a date to look forword too

Thelema isn't fictional. I know that Bree's religion isn't Thelema..but based on different things...and obviously a bit heavy on the Thelemic overtones.

Oh, I know it is fictional, but it sure followers closely to Crowley's beliefs...Also she did have a poster of the creepy guy in her room. It could tie in.

well yes Bree's religion is "fictional" that is how the creators watch their backs and not pi** any one religion off. BUT, it is HEAVY with the overtones of Thelema....and with the 20th being the most important day for them, i wouldn't be surprised if things get interesting...
