What do you like about LonelyGirl15?

What about it appeals to you? What keeps you coming back for more? I see so many haters on youtube completely trashing it. It's amazing to me why so many either love it or hate it. Why then do many of us love it? I will give my own reasons why I'm hooked after I've heard from other users.

The videos I've enjoyed the most were ones involving Daniel 'investigating' the Order -- breaking into Lucy's apartment, videotaping the fake Ceremony, breaking into the warehouse, etc. Lately, I've enjoyed the friendship between Daniel and Jonas. I'm not a fan of Jonas, but he and Daniel get along so well that I no longer have a problem with him.

Oh, and I hear there's also some minor character "Bree" that I can put up with, I guess...

This thread is a great idea.

I like the mystery. I love to do research about secret societies and genetic engineering . . .
I love the multilayerd mythalogical metaphor that is woven into the different layers of the production the Main Video story, OpAphid, Tachyon. And I love the fan fiction. It's exciting to see the creative responses that spin off from such a simple basic story.
You made a wise choice, Bree.

i like the conspiracy theories on the boards, borne of the super mysterious plot
plus i think bree is real
not like, she isn't an actress, but she's realistic. people are freaking out that she's kindof being a bitch recently, but that's life. i'd act like that too, honestly

I enjoy how the story has a dark presence. How it gives us so much freedom to be a part of the story. I love making and watching the fanvids.
Ive also crossed roads with some people I really like.

i like seeing the creators experiment with the vlog storytelling format, you never know what's really going to happen next. even when its bad (and its had some lows), i keep up with it.

this is not an established format where the audience is already comfortable with the storytelling model - hence the show gets lots of hazy complaints.

Actually I always know whats going to happen next, which sucks.

The creators have SO much freedom with this medium, I just wish they'd use it. (You don't need cash to be creative and original, you just need an imagination.)

Anyway, I got hooked way back when we didn't know if it was real or not, and CiW made me even more hooked, but now I'm slowly loosing interest in LG, not the medium though, I love the medium. Hopefully someone will come along and perfect it.

I love the forum I love being able to discuss a story that seems so simple at times and finding more and more loop holes to investigate

I like the format the Creators are using to tell the story. It's new and different and it gives us the story in real time. If this were a movie instead of a series, it would probably only be an hour long so far, but this has held my interst for months! :D

I like all the actors and actresses. All of them fit their role perfectly in my opinion. Other than that, I like the variety of fan videos of this.

I love the mystery and investigation. I love researching and analyzing the videos. That's my favorite part of this. Finding clues and symbols and stuff. I wish they'd do more of that sometimes. :)
