Jonas's Nanny?

Has anyone considered the importance of this person? He mentions her and the fact that she raised him since his parents died. He also mentioned that he really missed her. Who could she be? Is she somehow involved?

yes. i have played out different scenes in my mind about the nanny. like, how could she raise him and then just up and leave him ?

Maybe she had something to do with the disappearance of his parents? Maybe she had some connections with the order? There has to be more to Jonas than what we already know. Why would the creators just thrown a random fan in the mix? I think the Nanny may have something to do with it as well...why else would she have been mentioned at all? Jonas's past must be important in some way.

I completely agree. Jonas is here for more than just a place to stay.

Maybe she's just a plot device so that they can explain why Jonas is Daniel's age and has a house to himself, and how he's survived as an orphan for 6 years.

Oh believe me, I give them lots and lots of credit. But I call it like I see it. Like Jonas being rich and owning a house for example--DEFINITE plot device. How else would Bree and Daniel continue to afford being "on the road" and "on their own"?

I think the fact that he is rich, owns a house, and lives on his own at the ripe age of 19-20 whatever he is is definately a plot device. What 19 year old wouldn't have blown that money already.

Does anyone else think that Jonas' nanny could have been a helper like Lucy was for Bree, but he didnt know it??? Or maybe his parents were part of the Order but didnt want their son involved in it because they were trying to get out the Order, so they had a Helper take care of Jonas for them, that would also mean that the nanny would be aware that he would have to be kept away from certain things but that could also be why the nanny is not there anymore, maybe when they found out about the nanny hiding Jonas, they killed her also. i dont know, its just an idea.....and a good reason for why the Order hasnt tracked down Jonas could be cause they really dont care because he doesnt even know anything, the only reason why they are chasing after Bree is because of the ceremony and because she knows things. Im sorry if this sounds confusing....
