Running up your post count and topics about it

I'm fine with people trying to "post whore" to get to a new status (though, I don't really love it), but entire threads that are dedicated to someone's post level.. couldn't we make those against the rules? I know it's hard to draw lines in the sand about what is worthy of having it's own thread, but it seems like those are particularly pointless and would make life easier for everyone if they just went away.

Forgive me for breaking this out (from updated forum policies and etiquette post) and putting it in Concerns and Complaints, Spacie. Feel free to change title if you'd like.

I think these kinds of topics are probably ok, as long as they're in Off the Cuff or GTKEO. They do show a kind of community, where people can pat each other on the back.

The good thing about these two forums is you can skip them if you want or hit the "mark all topics read" link...

But that's just my opinion...

Yeah..there's just a lot of stuff to skip and I just thought it would be an easy way to clean things up a little...but I don't care if they stay. I don't read them.

yeh i agree with spacie, i hardly ever go in oftc coz there is so many pointless topics i just end up pressing mark all topics read

I don't know what you're talking about. I never said you were a post whore, I just quoted your post statistics compared to those of someone who you called "relatively new poster". At the time I did have a nasty cold and the sounds from the phlegm discharges could definitely be construed into the oddest utterances. I do apologize for not being able to control those horrific but completely spontaneous emissions.

For shame...treating a cold like that.

Next time try some herbal tea and honey with some chicken soup. Then you can just cough everything up in one hideous big chuck aimed at the most convenient (or disagreeable) target.

Perhaps when I am able to remove my foot from my mouth following the previous incident discussed in your lovely post, I can help you with learning how to properly dispose of those nasty boogers.
