Are they faking his death?

What if Bree's father isn't dead? Here's a possible scenario:

Bree's dad shot Lucy and the Deacon. Bree, Daniel and Jonas are now trying to protect him by posting a video that says he is dead. Meanwhile, they are all at Jonas' place burying Lucy and the Deacon in the middle of nowhere.

It's a stretch, but it's at least plausible.

You are assuming that The Order can "see" the Bree, Daniel, and Jonas videos. If you assume that, then every time they post a vid then they are de facto spilling all their plans etc. to the enemy. You can't have it both ways, the bad guys can't just see some of the vids and not others...

That aside, your theory makes as much sense as any at this point and would be a good twist.

Don't mean to rain on your parade as it were, just want this all to make some kind of sense...

At this point, I think it is almost a given fact that the order do see the vids. They planted Gemma to interact with Bree, Daniel and Jonas via the same media.

If bree's dad is alive I don't think she knows about it. I think she honestly believes he is dead weather he actually is or not.

Good point, Josh. In fact, they may have had the whole assasination of Lucy planned, and the Deacon was just a bonus. Maybe they didn't actually drive off at all.

bree may tells lies when it is necissary...I don't see any reason why she would lie about her father being dead....not to mention, Jonas and Daniel were there too.

So, you don't think she would consider it neccessary to lie to cover up the killing of Lucy and a Deacon by her father? I think she would consider it her duty to do so.

Also, I don't think she would have any difficulty convincing Daniel and Jonas to go along with the plan. Jonas craves her (or anyone's) affection, and Daniel is her best friend.

Maybe they finally realized the videos can be seen and posted the video saying her dad is dead to protect him.

That probably doesn't make sense but hey it was worth a shot.

If Gemma works for the Order than I think its safe to assume they must know about the Videos.

Good point.

I'll bet they found out after Bree and Lucy started to spend time together. Bree confided in Lucy about talking to her animals, and probably told her about the youtube account.
