Pay it Forward

Post by nobackspacebutton »

Wow. Some guy actually did something nice this morning. And he wasn't trying to get in my pants.

My car was all frosted over. The guy in the car right next to me was using an ice scraper on his car. I turned on my wipers and opened my windows...cause I needed to wait for the car to warm up...and he just smiled and walked over and said "here, turn your wipers off..." and I did and he scraped off all the ice...on the front and back and the side windows...and he smiled and asked how my new years was--and he was just genuinely nice.

Its weird when you see how honestly nice some people can be sometimes...

And then when I got to work, I held open the door for some guy and smiled, and he said thank you and said he hoped i had a good new years...and i said you too...

And well that was it. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have opened the door for the 2nd if Guy #1 hadn't put me in a good mood.

*shrugs* ever have this happen to you?

People...being..nice?

Yes! I was the recipient of a random act of kindness a few days before Christmas.

I was at the check-out at LNT, and the woman asked if I had a coupon. I told her no, I ran out of the house without my coupons. The woman behind me gave me an extra coupon that she had for 20% off my entire order. That was so nice!!!

And this happened only a couple of days after a woman tried to start an argument with me at the bank. I had just about lost my faith in people...

lol, My friends and I call random acts of kindness RAKs, and the other day, all day long, people held doors open for me, so I went up to one of my friends and said to her-
"Hey, I got a big RAK today."

Too bad my bathroom window's like the size of 2 bricks, lol. And, blocking my bathroom window is a wall that is a part of my neighbor's apartment. Oh and I don't live in England.
