Least sinister scenario

Post by Kimmy »

This idea may seem better late at night, however; what if Jonas really just picked up Bree and brought her back? The reference to trying to feed her a sundae reminds me of all of Lord Greystokes posts and videos about who gets ice cream. It's a recurring theme.
Jonas and Greystoke spoke in chat about taking care of "the kids". While the two of them didn't necessarily discuss ice cream,(wasn't Jonas going to send money?) Jonas is supposed to be a fan who reads and watches everything. Maybe the ice cream signifies taking care of Bree in a way we'll all get.
I also think Daniel not coming with Bree is classic novel hero behavior, a la Darcy or Heathcliff. It wasn't his idea, it wasn't his plan and he doesn't trust the guy. (I don't rememer the heroes of Austen or Bronte being quite so hissy, but never mind, new medium, new hero). The injured pride, the going off to regroup and then realizing the mistake all seem like regular fictional devices any good pretender to the romantic hero crown would engage in.
Just my thoughts, and Jonas fits perfectly too, the emotional red herring, the young man the family/society always think is perfect, wealthy, handsome and available but the heroine always prefers her moody, grumpy but finally tamed beast.

I think Danielbeast just felt inadequate. I mean bree was really into meeting this guy, talked about it for weeks. what benefit would it be for daniel to go and hang out with this guy and bree? he's not gettin' any...
