Seems doubtful that Bree would celebrate Christmas if her "religion" is some weird cult.

Considering that she celebrated an equinox, it's more likely that she's celebrate Yule (the Winter Solstice) which would be Dec. 22.

There's also been speculation that Daniel is Jewish, so maybe he'll make it home for Hanukkah.

That was only speculated based on how he looks. Now that we've learned he's actually Arab, all bets are off about his religion.

I know Yousef (the actor) is Arab. Have we learned that Daniel (the character) is Arab as well?

No we hacven't learned Daniel's nationality, however what basically the original thinking was was that Daniel had to be Jewish because his character looked so Jewish. Of course technically there should be no correlation between how the actor looks and who they play. But anyway now that we know the actor who plays Daniel isn't even Jewish, Daniel probably isn't either, however that's never been addressed so we have absolutely nothing to go on. He could be anything, we don't have anything to go on.
