she saw it on the diagram in the book she was using to research in the same spot.

so i'm guessin she saw it

so far this is what we got from gemma:

~Nut kills man - reference to Thelmite Goddes Nuit?

~Living in London - Bree's parents may have fallen out from their community?

~It's Not Your Decision - Bree won't be able to get out of the ceremony so easily.

~They Disappeared - A girl who was choosen for the ceremony and wanted out disappeared mysteriously as well as her family.

~Horrid Flatmates - Nothing really....

~Learning Egyptian - Bree's religion is not Thelma. It is called The Order and they learn egyptian in mandatory classes.

~Don't Trust The Authorities - "They might not be who they seem."

~Someone's Following You - Someone is following Bree.

~A Watcher - We learn about watchers and their symbol.

~An Awkward Silence - We learn what OpAphid stands for. (When we met people who didn't understand us, we'd acknowledge their position and help initiate a dialogue.)

Honestly I don't know why she's here. I think it was a good idea to have more characters, but they need to develope her more. We need to know who she is.

I really don't think it's that far-fetched. As I read through "Bree Chat" I see bits of 'Gemma -isms' everywhere.

"Punishment"? -- Nah, more like an acknowledgment of varying viewpoints. Some fans are into the cutesy Bree, some heavily into the stuffed animals and some into the darkness that is "the Order". All of it is in Gemma's videos.

SHe was researching body art/tattoos...listen to the video again...don't watch it...listen.
she says

what se is refrencing to is the symbols that the ancient egyptian priest would get tattooed on them.
We automatically assumed tat she saw te symbol. But if you listen, instead of watching, you acually notice that she is more so refrencing the shape of the smudge, rather then a clear image. She first saw what the symbol looked like in the book.

She knew what to look for:
Egyptian (the order follows egyptian nbelieves)
Tattoos ( cuz its a tattoo)
Meanings (duh)

Well at least I think Gemma has a few things to do...

She probably represents us fans because she points out things that Bree's missed (and we also could have have missed). And remember a lot of people out there are watching but don't read the forums, so Gemma can point out things to everyone but we've probably already realised them. Also she's there to add to Bree's back story because the only other way is for Bree to tell us herself.. which is kind of boring.

But I agree that they need to develop her character more. She's just not as exciting to watch as Bree doing her cute stuff
