Bree's Scar?

I was rewatching the Swimming video when I noticed Daniel taking an extended view/long shot on simply Bree's back. It wasn't her head or shoulders, or even her bum (you know, a typical male focal point), but the middle of her back. Why? Then I noticed a weird looking scar, or at least I think it is a scar... Could it have any significance to the ceremony or her religion, or is it simply a real scar on Jessica Rose? I took a screen cap, one with the contrast upped on the left and the original on the right:

I 100% doubt the creators would go to the extreme of putting a fake scar on her so later on we'd pick up on it as being a part of the ceremony. That's too elaborate, it must just be on Jessica Rose.
