Irresponsible!
Okay, I hate to be a bitch about this, but in today's video "Goin' back to Cali" -- you guys have the actress rising in the car without her seatbelt.
Granted, I'm sure this may have happened before, but it's never been so clearly evident (that I recall). I was so distracted by that I had to pause the video to type this...
I dunno, it just seems irresponsible.

Except for the state of New Hampshire, it isn't illegal here yet. Of course, we don't require helmets on motorcycles eithersilverblue wrote:It's illegal not to wear a seatbelt in the US? Haha, I stand corrected! Yay!![]()
...and thus, illegal and irresponsible footage then!
("Click it or ticket?" wtf? Nice non-rhyme they've got there.)

It's official!! I'm getting married September 28, 2007!!

anyways, even if it is illegal/criminal, she's 16. It's up to her and it's her responsibilty. no one elses. Plus...seat belts are freaking dangerous. They save lives yes...but they kill people just as often.

Which is a good thing! State laws requiring you to wear a seatbelt have little to do with keeping your safety in mind and more to do with effective lobbying by insurance companies. It gives them yet another reason to reject your insurance claims. (Same goes for the legal drinking age of 21 in the United States.)Ziola wrote:Except for the state of New Hampshire, it isn't illegal here yet. Truth be told, there is a correlation between auto injuries and deaths and lack of wearing a seat belt, but this is only true because most people who do not wear seat belts also engage in riskier driving behaviors.
This is just another example of U.S. legislation being dictated by money, power and greed without respecting the individual's rights.
It should be a choice whether you wish to keep your body safe or not, the government should not control your body. Your body is your biggest asset and your most important piece of property. What you choose to do with that property is up to you as long as it does not infringe on the property rights of others (e.g. harm another person's body).

I mean at first I was thinking that this was probably the dumbest complaint/concern I had ever seen. Then of course I realized yo must be joking.
SEriously, your comment uses humor as to expose the misguided and sometimes foolish concerns people have and how they use this forum to push their silly agendas on the rest of us.
Anyway. hilarious! Thanks ! and thank you to all the others who added on to this thread....a good long chuckle this morning...thanks

Regardless of whether the original poster was serious or sarcastic, please don't call anyone's posts or concerns dumb.Taig wrote:I mean at first I was thinking that this was probably the dumbest complaint/concern I had ever seen. Then of course I realized yo must be joking.

Personally, I pronounce it like "tik-it" and click it would be "klik-it". Rhymes for me. Maybe I'm crazy..I don't know. I've been called worse. Do you guys think both words need to have the same last two letters ie: both "et" or both "it"?..because they don't have to fyi.Killthesmiley wrote:you pronounce it as Eht now??? weird.. lol
Me and my key...same as it ever was.
