Camp Play
In a post on the forum, Daniel posted a note from Bree's father. The note as we all know had a code and some people figured out that the letters spelled out CAMP PLAY (I tip my hat to you guys. I didn't understand that puzzle at all and I was looking at complex quantum theories. That really hurt my brain.) Anyway, I was wondering why this play was important in the camp. In the Order of Denderah video, Daniel mentions what the story of the play was about. Apparently it involved Pilgrims in it and one Pilgrim leaving the Mayflower. Supposedly the main character gets into strange situations and into grand adventures. Anyway, I would like to find out why the Order would be so interested in a play about Pilgrims.
I did find on Wikipedia this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myles_Standish
Apparently Henry Longfellow wrote a poem about a love triangle between this character plus two others. Please post what you think about this. It is really bothering me and I would like to figure out why the Order would be so intent on having a camp play featuring a group of Christian fundamentalist. Please help!

Way back months ago, I did a bunch of research on what the camp play might be. Here are some links to what I found:

What if the longtitude mentioned and the time mentioned are the ones we're looking for as location of Bree and ceremony?langorouslass wrote: Remember, under this theory, Bree is supposed to represent Nut/Nuit, the Ultimate Female, in the ceremony. Crowley describes Nuit as "infinitely elastic." Elasticity is associated with life. What's more, if Bree/Nuit is like Teh as described by Lao-Tze, then she will be "able to hurt men." That's consistent with "Nut kills man."
The male principle (embodied in Hadit), OTOH, is associated with hardness. Hardness, in turn, is one of the "stigmata of death."
In Egyptian mythology, the dead "heavenly bodies" will enter Nuit's mouth and be reborn out of her womb "with dawn." Some smart person on the Forum -- sorry, can't remember who -- who was analyzing the "Proving Longitude Wrong" video figured out that the time shown on the two clocks in that video was the time of sunrise at . . . well, whatever the relevant longitude would be. So it looks like the creators are hinting that there's some significance to sunrise, aka dawn.
Damn! This is the first I've connected 'Nut Kills Man' with the egyptian goddess Nut. Perhaps we have an accurate description of the ceremony after all?henrysugar wrote:Okay, so...assuming this is canon. This girl from Bree's past [Gemma] comes in and describes a game called 'Nut Kills Man.' Has anyone heard of this game?
There is one more thing that I can think of that requires long term injection or ingestion. Becoming immune to poisons.

Which would also connect with the "trait negative" or whatever from the medical records. Maybe only certain people can become immune to whatever is going on with the ceremony.
And maybe Bree isn't the sacrifice. Maybe Bree is the one sacrificing. She's figured this out, and is now going to go kill whoever the Order decides to throw at her. Our little Bree is all grown up and murdering in the name of God now!

Being a hero doesn't mean you succeed in saving the day. It just means you tried.

Wow! other than that, i am speechless

You can call me Meg, Megan or Megs
Or whatever you feel like lol

Good finds, Lass! I had posted this link in another thread. http://www.watch.pair.com/symbol.html. It is a little strange, but the last two sections about The Masonic Tradition and the Egyptian Connection are very similar to the story of The Ship which you describe. I had arrived at this site based on a lot of the symbols associated with HoO, and did not know that Crowley actually wrote his own version of it.
Rosencrantz: Another curious scientific phenomenon is the fact that the fingernails grow after death, as does the beard.
Guildenstern: What?
Rosencrantz: Beard. . . The toenails, on the other hand, never grow at all.

Thanks for linking those threads Languorous Lass!
All that info is really cool and makes a lot of sense. Maybe you should start a thread under plot discussion and chunk all that stuff together for people like me who weren't around for those early discussions. Especially now that new light is shining on a lot of those topics.

I remember Bree also spoke a bit about the play and what it was about in a video.
If someone cares to find it, by all means. I think it was before Daniel's video about it though.
There is also another video where she opens up quite a bit about the history, after Daniel does all that research.

Wow, Lass, I didn't remember all of that. But now I do. I actually did some research, which I quoted in Motel Pool, that correlates well with yours. I tried to bump our conversation in the thread. Everyone has to read through it all. We were definitely on the right track!

I went looking (yes I did!)

Not much help, I know. About all it tells us is that it's ok to argue with the teachers. meh.Bree wrote:Then, towards the end I hadn't flubbed a single line and I got to this part where my character was having an argument with her teacher and just to the right of this head about six rows back, I saw Daniel smiling at me and I completely forgot my line.
I'd like to point out that the little girl in the newest video looks quite a bit like I'd picture Bree to look like at that age. I know we've speculated the ceremony to death, but could the origin of the anomaly Bree has be specific to her heritage?
