I'm curious why you proceeded to remove DUd3MzY0bjA1 from your final answer because of the fact that B64 -> text gives you Gw364n05. I don't understand that step. Please explain.

Also, I removed the anarchy as my first step, as it seemed like the most obvious thing to do, but perhaps that was a mistake.

Deagol, I just took out all the stuff that was like restore and vandalize.....

and

Wonka, that was just me pulling that out of the anarchy's and trying to see if it was anything

It wasn't, although blahbla did make progress through a piecemeal approach.

ok i'm just gonna put what i've decoded:

Code: Select all

/Restore+AnArChY+Deface
/vandalize+d3l337+AnArChY+Deface+DU+Deface+AnArChY+d3MzY0bjA1
/Deface+AnArChY+Restore/

There was some ZDN... part I think it was Wonka found meaningful.

Wait, "Defaced" was never there like that, and vandalize wasnt at the beginning like that. Also, "vandalize+d" ? or "AnArChY+d" ? I thought that was determined yesterday.

But you're getting close. Maybe it would be best to document your steps, instead of just your results. I would recommend Wonka's one-step-at-a-time method.

Edit: haha we cross-edited :D

Gah! confused again so i will document my steps....

Starting code:

Code: Select all

253 23 172 222 250 254 2 112 43 10 22 62 58 218 43 123 246 67 54 195 51 51 114 47 248 9 192 172 40 88 249 173 239 172 233 195 117 169 98 83 61 239 172 231 190 2 112 43 10 22 62 119 115 51 99 70 227 3 95 222 174 139 119 248 9 192 172 40 88 250 250 206 177 228 127
put this through Base 64 and get the following in Dec/Char

Code: Select all

/Res3vr+AnArChY+Otore/ZDNsMzM3Iv+AnArChY+a3vrOnDdaliUz3vrOe+AnArChY+d3MzY0bjA1/erot3+AnArChY+vrOseR/
Inside that you can find the words restore, vandalize, restore
Take those out and you are left with

Code: Select all

/3vr+AnArChY+O/ZDNsMzM3I+AnArChY+3vrODU3vrO+AnArChY+d3MzY0bjA1/3+AnArChY+vrO/
you notice that 3vr0 is repeated: put that through Base 64 and get hex: de fa ce or deface

this leaves you with

Code: Select all

/+AnArChy+/ZDNsMzM3I+AnArChy+DU+AnArChY+d3MzY0bjA1/+AnArChY+/
ZDNsMzM3I is base 64 for d31337 or deleet or delete

Leaves me with

Code: Select all

/+AnArChy+/
+AnArChy+DU+AnArChY+d3MzY0bjA1
/+AnArChY+/
this is where i am currently =)

Well, for a change it wasn't "comic book swearing" in the plain [TEXT] box. But it's missing something.

Which was the other part that didn't result in gibberish in the [TEXT] box?

Ok not bad, but on that step as Wonka said, the most obvious thing is anarchy. The other's are not so obvious since theiy're all broken up. But you've left the most obvious part in and took out the less obvious parts, not sure why you like anarchy so much.

Clearly you're assuming the second interpretation. What if you assume the first?

 well, anarchy doesn't help in a b64 box. Just try to leave what looks like real b64 code snipets, and then decode.

Wouldn't that be translating it INTO leet?
