Well, considering that I checked the titles of all the posts under "Plot Discussion" and found no reference to Illuminati in any of them
Next time try Imageing.

The Bavarian Illuminati was actually really cool and only has a bad reputation because of right-wing reactionaries.
well....with ADD, skimming over the topic and getting the main point equals the discussion. God people, don't you understad how to work with me yet?!?
Damn it. Spaciegirl is right, I think. I remember discussion and debunking of illuminati as well. I think...it's...a...fictional...religion...
The Order of Denderah could easily be a religious faction within the Illuminati organization. Considering that it's largely fictional in it's current incarnation, The Illuminati can be anything. It's still the one organization that covers all of the various theories.

My understanding is it's not a religion at all (just skimmed the wikipedia article). It's a secret society... or perhaps more appropriately, an allegedly real secret society. It's just tangentially based around religion.

The interesting thing is, Illuminati and Masonry are the two things that turn up most often when you search for particular religions and their tie to the occult. There's conspiracy theories that link pretty much everything (as we've seen in the Religion forum) to these groups and to Satanism and such. Hard to believe any of them are legitimate, but ya never know...

If nothing else, it's fun to explore the conspiracy theories associated with the Illuminati.

Nah, you must learn to crawl before you can stand and run. They're going to bring about the NWA reunion tour. What's Ice Cube done since Are We There Yet? anyway? Brothuh's got mortgage bills to pay, son!

Nooo...whole different Neatherlands. This is the one in South America. I see where you'd be confused, though. ;)

Don't Ever Antagonize The Horn.

Do read Thomas Pynchon, Ishmael Reed, and Umberto Eco.

And always keep in mind the immortal words of Darby Crash, lead singer of The Germs (as there is a Pills and Shots thread):

Standing in the line
We're abberations
Defects in a defect's mirror
And we've been here all the time
Real fixations
Hidden deep in the furor
What we do is secret-- SECRET!
