Are we all back? Good.
ARGs, Alternate Reality Games, play with our sense of what's real and what isn't. For example, past puzzles have lead to receiving phone calls from characters.

Drop Rules By Shifty & Ladron
OK, so you wanna go on a drop? Wanna run around in the dark at 3am in the middle of nowhere looking for a small white envelope? Well there are some rules, well now more rules since we all think its a good idea for group drops. Anyway, here they are, and let me know if I missed anything:
1) LET US KNOW YOU ARE GOING! - the last thing anyone wants is to send someone out for a drop, only its not there. Because you already got it and didn't say anything! Get on the forums, get on the chat, and let us know you plan to go! Then confirm you are going!
2) GET AN OPERATOR! - find someone and give them your cell phone number. Get their cell phone number. Make sure they are on the chat when you leave, and that they will stay there until you have the drop. Call them when you need them, and especially when you arrive at the drop site. You have no idea how helpful a room full of OpAphid fans can be, especially when you are at the drop site and have no idea what you are looking for.
3) BRING A FLASHLIGHT! - everyone should have one, duh!
4) NO HATS! - take it from the guy who knows
5) MEET WITH YOUR GROUP AWAY FROM THE DROP! - you should all arrive at the drop site at the same time. So meet somewhere close, but not at, the drop. That way you can prep the camera, flashlight, maps, whatever. Plus introducing yourselves would be nice.
6) ALL DROP RETRIEVALS MUST BE RECORDED! - no exceptions! You will put it all on video. Not just you with the drop, not your just opening the drop. You walking up to the site, you searching for the drop, you pulling the drop out of the deepest, darkest hole they could find. Then record you opening the drop, and removing all items. Photograph all items, and all important marks and writings. Then post it on YouTube and the forums ASAP. OpAphid WILL ask you for it herself if you procrastinate (again, from experience).
7) SLEEP! - again, duh! The chat people can wait until morning/afternoon to start peppering you with questions.
AND ABOVE ALL ELSE IS SAFETY! - the PMs are not going to put the drop anywhere that is hard to get to. You are not going to have to climb up a wall, run across a freeway, fight rabid dogs, or break into anywhere. So don't. If you feel unsafe when going for a drop, don't go. Let us know and someone else can come get it. Put your safety above all else.
In game phone numbers are as follows
(213) 814-2839 - Tachyon's phone lost at her "last job"
(310) 933-6263 - Temporary line used for mash up
(310) 933-5901 - Brother's phone
(415) 670-9198 - Tachyon's latest phone

Give yourself a user name and type operationaphid into the room name
You can also use other irc interfaces (MIRC for example)

HELP PLEASE
I have started following the OpAphid and Tachyon stories as I become more engrossed with this plot. However, being new...I am LOST! I have watched most videos of the drops, hints, and solutions, but am missing MUCH of the story because I do not have the messages sent to the contacts, etc.
Could someone PLEASE post a concise, organized method that tells what we have learned from OpAphid and Tachyon concerning the recent story events?
Also, please explain who Brother is? I know there have been hints...but just jumping on...I AM LOST!

Fallacy does not cease to be fallacy because it becomes fashionable
The best place to get caught up is the wiki pages that summarize past events and puzzles.
