I hope he had gotten that out of a crackerjack box... wow, lost the ring? Is this a joke or real? Did you all really want someone like that in charge of this site?! Hah.Killthesmiley wrote:they are acually engaged....but JD lost the ring...i wonder if he ever found it.

well
This is a professional production regardless of its size or the actual monies invested. When something happens, you don't get a chance to explain. You get fired. For example, I had a temp job once in LA at a brokerage firm. Just for two weeks. On the second day, I hit extraordinarily bad traffic (I left really early, trust me) and I was about five minutes late. The fourth day, I forgot my parking pass and was five minutes late again. I'm from Texas, and most employers in Texas would be thrilled if you showed up five minutes late as most people take their time and mosy on in, heehee. When I showed up, the manager very firmly and strictly said, "I can understand being late once, but not twice. We're going to have someone else finish out the contract." I was very angry and part of me suspects that the girl who was training me was concerned I was going to take her job on a permanent basis, because I knew more about the software and she was an ugly tranny (I'm not joking, she was an ugly transvestite.) On the other hand, it is a professional atmosphere and if you're late, you're late. Even if it is not your fault. Here regardless of how "nice" someone is, sometimes the project needs outweigh the person's capabilities. I find it strange that a programmer wouldn't immediately set up a redirect from lonelygirl15.com to www.lonelygirl15.com.
To then go on a public forum and whine just lacks professionalism. The Creators don't have to say anything. Logging in under someone else's account and posting messages like this is ridiculous. And if he logged onto the forum to post using Starlady's account, it doesn't seem that far of a stretch to make some creative changes to the LGPedia using that account as well.
Again, efficiency rules. You don't cut it for whatever reason (even if it's not your fault), then you're gone. I think the Creators have handled it very professionally.

Hey everyone, thanks for expressing your concerns. In the course of running a business, there are certain decisions we need to make that for a variety of reasons must remain confidential and internal. This is one of those situations. We hope you respect that and continue to enjoy the show. We will still be improving the website and you can look forward to some very exciting features in the near future.
