POint Break was 1991, though...not really mid-90's. When I saw the KLMNO thing (a chain of letters)...and saw the Chain Reaction was from 1996...it clicked.

ALSO, according to imdb, the working title for Chain Reaction was Dead Drop

And there WAS an actor with the last name of Cusack in that movie...Dick Cusack....yes, father to John Cusack.

I demand some love for Joan. Next clue should be from Adams Family Values. *pouts*

In other movie news might I refer you to my favorite Keanu film, The Watcher
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0204626/

It's not the movie in question but worth the rental to see Keanu be creepy

Nice, wstabeo!

Not sure of the significance of this, but there's a Rob Base song "Turn it out (go base)"

Does "turn it out go [base] 36 34" mean anything to anyone? I suck at math.

Thanks...I think I just got lucky. :D you guys did all the hard work. I just pushed the pieces around until it seemed to fit.

Could the "turn it out" be a certain distance away?

just trying to find the pattern here

cassandra hughes - hex

amorous missive - love letter

32186 - in synch (20,000 miles)

turn it out go - base (36 34)

superboy - comic (1957)(hex again)

anyone see anything that this could be changed around to for each of the lines?

C'mon, she should quote Grosse Pointe Blank, it's got some great dialogue between Joan and John!

Marcella: You know, when you started getting invited to your ten year high school reunion, time is catching up.
Martin: Are you talking about a sense of my own mortality or a fear of death?
Marcella: Well, I never really thought about it quite like that.
Martin: Did you go to yours?
Marcella: Yes, I did. It was just as if everyone had swelled.

Superboy #54, from 1998 is about a character named Hex, a red-head at that!! There's a basic synopsis of the comic here: http://www.lonely.geek.nz/jhsuperboy.html

Don't know what that helps, but maybe it helps something :)
