it's not a religion...

Oh dear, how to explain this...
OpAphid is the acronym for how people in the Order of Denderah (the highest level I believe) in her "religion" interact with others.
So while, on the outside, it appears to be a religion with its basis in many other religions, we aren't really sure what it was/is established for.
I know that is very confusing, but even those of us who have been playing the ARG all along pretty much have NO CLUE.

It's official!! I'm getting married September 28, 2007!!
That is one aspect of "the religion thats not a religion". It is a subset of her religion, one that it appears is hard to get into (invite-only) and doesn't exactly work on religiony stuff.
Makes your brain hurt, huh?
Welcome to hell, I'll be your tourguide

Here's something that looks rather obvious to me...but probably only because I'm an occultist:
Many orders are set up with "inner orders" on the inside. For instance, the original Golden Dawn was the Golden Dawn....but the A.: A.: was the inner order only available to the very advanced.
Of course, Crowley started his own A.: A.: after the breakup of the Golden Dawn that was supposed to be a continuation of the A.: A.:
But, think about this: You have an outer order. Maybe it's called the Order of Denderah..maybe that's the name of the inner order...either way..
This outer order is focussed on morality, conduct, etc. The members tend to live together in a commune like setting. Pretty much anyone can join this outer order. It's relatively lax and can actually be confused with a religion (especially to a young person) because it deals with spirituality and morals.
Then, you have the inner order. The inner order is NOT lax. It's very strict. The inner order is by invitation only. The inner order actually controls the outer order. It consists of the management of the outer order. It gets its membership from those of the outer order that show promise.
