[VIDEO] Gemma - "An Awkward Silence"

Post by covedweller »

So is this video the official first part of the new story arc? Or just another LG15 shout out to the OpAphid fans?

I love her hand motions to go with the acronym though!

Acknowledge their Position and Help to Initiate a Dialogue.

I am interested to see how this could fit in to the acronym we are learning!

I like the look on her face as she says it and the way she blows her bangs away afterwards. It's saying "what an utter load of bollocks".

She's always know that the order is full of it. The way she was "told" to deal with outsiders was welcoming. The way her parents actually acted was "stay away. Far far away". I think Oppys Analyze Protect Hinder I D is the way the order and the community truely act not this face saving bit that they told the children. We should keep this in mind while thinking of answers.

Also we should try to parallel the nice APHID with the millitant APHID to see if they may align in a way to give us a hint to the unknown words. As in, Hinder and Help are opposites.

So the opposite of initiate? Thanks to my trusty thesaurus.com:

Induce - to lead or move by persuasion or influence, as to some action or state of mind
Issue - The ultimate result, event, or outcome of a proceeding, affair, etc.
Impair - to make or cause to become worse; diminish in ability, value, excellence, etc.; weaken or damage.
"Have you ever transcended space and time?"
"Yes. No. Uh, time not space. No. I don't know what you're talking about."

Perhaps that's the "public" face of The Order, and how they publically talk about OpAphid. Anyone who gets close enough to someone from the Order will probably hear that terms and it might just be propaganda so people don't freak out that they have their kind of "special ops" to deal with outsiders. As the saying goes, it's easier to catch a fly with honey than it is with vinegar. I don't think many people would have a positive view of a religion that says, "we're a secret society, and if you mess with us, we'll take you out."

Just my opinion.

It kinda makes you wonder why we were given the pleasure of tasting a pot of vinegar while we were just a few days inside the order, and why Gemma is putting up a nice pot of honey for the newbies who want to join the show. Will they get the 'outsider' treatment from now on?
breetard [bree-tard] Adj. - a person who is stupid, obtuse, or ineffective in some way all while being plastic and having extremely limited depth of personality

We are adults who sought to join OpAphid.

Gemma and Bree were little girls growing up inside The Order.

OpAphid is the "ill shit" department of The Order, so it's probably safe to assume that they knew we were aware of that.

**GASP** Don't ever say that about my Oppy again!

Also, has anyone else EVER heard Gemma mention South Africa before this vid?

I mean, seriously. This girl gets around more than Carmen Sandiego.
