Hey, all! Banana dancing and flute playing are now going on down in Off The Cuff cuz...well, that wasn't quite what happened in the video, even with the interesting name... <chuckle>

"Deep Throat" was an informant inside the Nixon administration. He was giving information to a couple of Washington Post reporters about Watergate, the scandal that led to Nixon resigning the presidency.

And William Mark Felt, the man who was Deep Throat, wasn't a reporter either.

I meant 'reporter' as in, he reported information, not that it was his career.
Either way this vid has numerous issues, I don't think we can trust the reporter bit, I think he meant informant. Since that's what Alex/Beth was right now.
I mean, he already got mixed up about wethere it was a call or text in the description, and he also mentions there being a box that we don't see.
My point wasn't that Deep Throat was a reporter, it was that Deep Throat did what Alex/Beth is doing now, relying 'reporting' information.

I'm proud of Daniel! It's pretty ballsy to go there by himself, it could've been a trap.. but it just proves that he's still concerned for Bree, even after everything. I think he really was thinking the worst there for a bit.

The face looks a lot like Alex, and I want to say it is. Beth would be interesting, but we don't really have a voice to go on for her. I'm just going to assume it's Alex for now.

I'm looking forward to the finale, as much as I enjoy LG15. It's been a long run, and I hope that we have an awesome blowout ending.

I think that is why Daniel said whoever it was is a Deep Throat wanna be.
I know somebody else was using that as point in favor of it being Beth, because she is a reporter, I was thinking you meant it along the same lines. My apologies.

Sorry, Aponi. I misunderstood.

But "Deep Throat" was portrayed in the movie "All The President's Men" as an informant who disguised his voice.

Maybe the informant here is someone who is capable of impersonating Alex's voice.

I don't think he was saying the person is a reporter, I think he was just comparing the person to Deep Throat, who he mistakenly called a reporter. It would be crazy to think that Daniel remembered both Beth (he was pretty drunk at that party) and that he remembered she was a reporter. I mean, if that's the case, why wouldn't he have said 'I met this mysterious reporter, I think she seems familiar' or something? Like, if he knows it's Beth and that she's a reporter, then why is he not saying it's Beth?
If that makes sense...it makes sense in my head but I don't know if people will get it

I think I would have been able to catch strain in her voice to maintain a voice that wasn't her own. I know I have heard my brother say something about that before.
And there weren't any filters on her voice.

I'm only a half hour away from Santa Monica, and I'm going there tonight anyway. Has anyone else tried looking around? I wouldn't mind taking a few minutes to go out looking...

EDIT: The "drop point" is only two miles from where I'll be - easy peasy drive. Or a long, long stroll, even! I have to say I doubt there's a drop, but it's worth a look, just to satisfy curiosity.

Here is a little something for the Bethbees

I noticed the Mystery Reporter had a ring on her finger

I went to look back at "Alex is..." video to see if Alex wore a ring. No rings at all

Then I went to "Uncle Dan" and.... *sigh*

and the right finger too....

Also this new photoshopped picture

And here is a picture of Alex and Beth I photoshopped to b/w and darkened to simulate low light for comparison

Was there any indication that Beast didn't recognize his informant? I don't recall hearing him say "Who are you?" or something of that nature. I don't think saying "mysterious reporter" in the description means he didn't know/recognize her, either. Unless Beast has said something in the character chat?
