A few more questions from a long time lurker:

What was Joel's motive?

If he was a hired gun, does he know why Maddy and Adam were targeted? And what was he instructed to do with the bodies?

Why did he use a .22?

Did Joel upload the final video to Maddy's account, and, if so, how did he know the password?

And most importantly, where's Adam's dog Whiskey?

There's something fishy here. The murder of 2 students, caught on tape, would be a big deal. Adam says his hands were tied when it came to writing about it and goes on about finals and moving offices. Is there something more? Was he told to stay away from the story?

Clare, I'd be careful about giving the authorities too much information. My best guess is the convicted killer was just a hired gun. There may be people in your town or even at your school who know more about this than they're telling.

Do try to find out about those girls. Maybe it was Adam's way of giving you a clue to help your investigation.

On the other hand, that may be exactly what they want
to throw Clara/us off the scent ...get us distracted from Maddy..
I feel it is important for us to keep Maddison in mind.
I am not saying don't follow through on the blood taking story..but keep focused on Maddison..we owe it to her.

At the moment this second story isn't really distracting because we still have nothing else to work on.

When something concerning Maddy comes up I am sure we will attack it. Keeping this in mind in case it becomes important.

I enjoyed this video, and I guess time will tell whether the seemingly unrelated weird story about the blood sampling is related ... my guess is someone is counting ribozymes...

Another reason this feels like Jeromy is that there is a distinct potential for overlap with LG.

(As we have all been preciting) We are getting confirmation that what makes Bree "special" is in her blood. At the same time we hear the the Maddison-verse that girls were drugged and had thier blood taken.

Jeromy said he was open to the creators approaching him for recognition during Chapter 1. He left the potential for overlap open. If this is in fact him, he seems to be leaving the door open for that overlap to happen again. That is, if the Creators decide to drop him a line. In which case we should let them know.

Its a strange event that occurred during the same time frame as Maddy's Misadventure. When in April did it happen? Before April 11th? April 25th?
