i think this story is getting old because its the same thing over and over..
kidnap, rescue, run away, kidnap, rescue, filler, filler, filler, run away..
if there was some sort of plot variation going on, i dont think continuing with our current characters would be horrible.
but if this is all we have to look forward to, kill them all off (except jonas.)

Sort of both. I've been tired of this story arc for a while. Now I'm getting tired of the characters, too. They need to finish this ceremony crap and get to something else. And what ever else they go to after this (if it continues, which I think it will) they need to come up with something other than angsty group of kids run away and get caught and run away and get caught. If it turns into something like that, I'd lose interest fast and wouldn't bother to watch it.
And I would really like to get all those pesky plot holes filled in along with the completion of the ceremony or however they chose to end this story arc.

Absolutely. Things should end when they're good, not because they got ran into the ground just for the sake of continuing. Closing up shop when people still like something will make them care more than letting them get to the point that they think it would have more dignity in death.Inigo wrote:It's in the show's best interest that it doesn't go on indefinately. It should end not soon, but sooner or later on a good note and not because everyone got tired of it.
At the very least the "Bree and the Ceremony" chapter needs to be completely closed, and without any lingering ambiguties like "What was the ceremony?" or "Why was it important?"
i voted keep going for months but i think i want to change my vote but i cant

i definitely think the Bree story line needs to end. It's getting tired and over done now, and I think there are so many other story lines that they can lead into now, and the only way they could really get focused on those story lines is if Bree's characters story was over.
While I think some people would be extremely upset over this, I think that it would benefit the show in the end to retire Bree's character, and possibly move on to the search for Jonas' parents and the ousting of the Order.

I do agree that the story is sort of going in circles, but I don't think that's a good enough reason to close up on the BJD story. I mean, there's WAYYYYYY too much left unanswered. They can't stop now. Plus, we've all grown so attached to the threesome, I don't think it would be the same.
I mean...what's the Hymn of One? What about Bree's Mom? Jonas' parents? Daniel's parents? Jonas and Bree? Daniel and Sarah? Bree...brainwashed or not? Jonas/Daniel/Sarah/Taylor...order? What happened to Owen and Thor?!
No...can't end yet...or ever. :p

I'd like to see this story continue, but I think it can and should end before the end of the year, and maybe even by the end of fall. Here's the loose ends as I see them:
1. The Ribozyme Mystery
Solution: Daniel and Jonas decode what's in the box (with LG15 forum members' help)
2. The Order's Pursuit of Bree
Solution(s): Either Bree needs to make herself "trait negative", or she needs to kill herself. Unfortunately, I don't see any other solution. It's pretty clear that the Order isn't going to give up on Bree, because by now they might have done so already.
3. The BDJ Relationship Triangle
Solution: Well, that depends on whether or not Bree is alive at the end of her storyline. If so, I think that she will eventually cut ties with Daniel and Jonas after thanking them for their help. And maybe she'll even promise to rekindle friendships after she permanently shakes off the Order's pursuit and wins her fight against the Order (which will take a while). She might ask the boys to join her, but I don't see them accepting. I think that Jonas will seek out the truth about his parents and Daniel will start a new life, without Bree and without his parents. As another option, Daniel might join Jonas in his search for his (Jonas') parents.
4. Taylor and Sarah
Solution: No idea, really. However, I'm sure the Creators will find a way to play out the Daniel and Sarah relationship, and maybe Taylor will join Jonas in his quest to find his parents. Or she'll join the Resistance and help Bree fight the Order. Or, if she's Order, she might be a featured villain in the next storyline on LG15, or move over to Kate Modern. Yeah, I think Taylor has more potential as a character (or at least a plot device resembling a character) in a future storyline, mainly due to her leet tech skills
.
All this will take time to unravel, but I do agree that the Creators need to cut back on the filler in order to speed things up. I really think that the story is reaching its conclusion, what with Bree possibly having infiltrated the Order and Daniel and Jonas coming closer to solving the mystery of Bree's special physiology.

I think that is the only idea ive heard that i like. it would be a good way to keep the story going without dragging out the whole Bree ceremony thing but still keep some of the extremely loved characters (daniel and jonas) even if it means losing bree.Kanazaka wrote: As another option, Daniel might join Jonas in his search for his (Jonas') parents.
