Ok, I haven't read everything, but I have a something that I need to go on record as saying.

First of all, why are some people here acting like a woman who isn't repressing her sexual desires is either really messed up, or is a slut?

What isn't surprising about this, is that the majority of them are women. I will never understand why women want to be so hard on other women who have the guts to do exactly what they want without apology. It's just terrible, IMO. Perhaps you're worried about them coming after your guy?

The age of women feeling guilty about engaging in sex with whomever they want is over (Or at least I thought it was), as is the age of forced sexual repression. Please, females...get over it and be supportive of those that choose to allow themselves to be comfortable with who they are and what they want.

The words slut and whore should be stricken from the English language. They are simply out-dated.

I'm only going to speak for myself, because I have no idea what others are thinking. I don't have a problem with women having casual sex. I agree, it's fun, it feels good. If you're being safe and smart--no problem.
My issue lies with Sarah. She's obviously a hurt little girl who is using sexual encounters as a form of validation. She's not partaking in sex recreationally, she's using it like a drug. It would be no different than if she was eating emotionally, using drugs, or drinking ala Daniel.
She's taken her parents' separation very hard. She feels abandoned by her father, and is using other men to fill up the emotional gap.

Of course, she does not possess the self actualization to realize this. I don't think anyone analyzes their behavior this much (at least outside of therapy...). So, she covers up her pain with a flippant attitude. Sex is not about fun for her, but she'll never admit it.

She's a tease? How do you get that? A tease is a woman who doesn't go through with it.

Sarah is not exaggerating, IMO, and I don't understand why some people think she is. In my experience, people who talk the most about sex are the people who know the most about it.

i feel the same... all the ladies on the thread seem to take the stand that since she puts it out there she is a slut... or theyre completely open as well... you cant label things the way they choose to here...

its simple; Sarah gets action... and she genuinely cares for jonas deep down... she can be exaggerating here a bit on the places, but she is trying to make a point... she dosent care about what people think and puts it all out there... shes just bieng honest, i hardly think its right to judge her on that...

Wow, took a while to read the whole thread.

I only posted once on the last vid thread because I only had very very nasty things to say about Jonas.

In the course of the last 5 videos Jonas went from being my second favorite character (I really do Love Bree) to being pretty much below the Cowboy. He makes me throw up a little in my mouth too...

Sarah however, well I LOVE her character. I don't agree with all that she says/does but in terms of being amused/entertained...well if Bree doesn't do something interesting on camera soon...(thats all im saying about that)

The Sarah character makes it easier to tell the LG15 story. She's outside the emotion (largely) but inside the drama with access to a video camera with a very mischevious bent.

Obviously this was character development and some clearing up of questions.

Why are we expecting Sarah to be perfect/without massive emotional issues?

Wouldn't she just be boring and um flat character-wise?

Doesn't Daniel have tons of issues? Bree is massively fucked up emotionally...Jonas is only getting more screwed up...right?

I guess its because sex is so taboo in American culture. Her issue is relationship/sex related. Some of her views are healthy, some not healthy.

Daniel is/was an underage alcoholic...unless he turned 21 when I wasn't looking. That's easily as destructive as a bit of emotionless sex/mindless pleasureseeking. Jonas uses his money to make people attached to him/like him better (well I think he does) and he's really really emotionally needy.

The vid was great filler IMO. Much more entertaining that lots of other stuff they've filled with before...

And I really really really like Sarah.

Okay, let me get two things straight before I say what I'm about to say: 1) I LOVEEEEE Sarah. 2) I LOVE Juli.

And, I agree with you too. But, being the same age as Sarah, let me share a little of my own first hand experience here.

Sarah is what? 17? 18? She just graduated high school. As did I. I went through a phase much like Sarah's when I was 16 years old (though not to the extreme that Sarah talks about). I thought I'd never get married and I'd never fall in love. I was convinced I was done with love because of the heartache it had brought me in a previous relationship (in Sarah's case, it might just be witnessing that of her parents). I flirted a lot with every guy I knew and I purposely gave the impression that I was FAR more experienced than I was. Yes, I may have been somewhat experienced, but I was mostly just talk. This is the impression I'm getting from Sarah.

It's simple. She's only 17. As much as I support women being comfortable with their sexuality, Sarah shouldn't be so proud of fucking on every kitchen appliance known to man.

Since then, I've outgrown my "love sucks sex is fun" phase. As I am only 18, I have no authority sharing my sexual wisdom with any of you. Sarah may be experienced for a 17-year-old, but what the f**k does she know about love? Yes, young people can fall in love. But how many times could she possibly have been in love? Maybe she's conjured a certain perpective of love in her mind based on her parents' example. But how sad is it that a girl this young is convinced that love ruins sex?

Sex can be recreational, sure. And I'm not saying Sarah is a slut at all. But I highly doubt that she knows the key to life, which is how she makes it sound. And honestly, she's preaching to the wrong choir. We're talking about Jonas here, people. He isn't going to jump up like "OMG YOU'RE RIGHT" and realize that high-and-mighty Sarah knows all about sex and love, because she doesn't.

She's just a girl. This is all just a front. It's funny and cute. But she is human, and she isn't above love. Being open about sexuality is one thing - being 17 and convinced that love RUINS sex is another.

I never said she didn't fit the description of promiscuous, my problem is that there should be a such a judgmental attitude or word to begin with.

i have not read the entire thread but i think the whole "sex" talk is just for fun as well..i dont have a problem with sarah sleeping with anyone...anywhere. its her choice and she is old enough to make her own decisions. I have said this before...i love sarahs charactor and think it adds and interesting twist to the plot.

although i think that her dad leaving her and her family is doing most of her sex talk right now. i think she is hurt and sometimes a hurt like that leads people down a path they may regret later in life but of course that is something she will not see until much later in life.

besides the "sex' talk...(because i actually believe jonas and bree did not do the nasty)

sarah mentions that jonas is no use to them if he cannot help them find bree...basically she tells him to get over it and help her find bree ~ and i find that very interesting. has she seemed at all interested in really finding bree up until this point?

i think there is more to this sarah than meets the eye...

i dont think anyone directly said that sarah isnt permiscuous (not that i can remember)... but the point made is to not call her a tart...

ooh shes definitely fruity as hell... its an established part of her character... but another part of her character is that she is completely open about her getting around as well
