Hex in the earliest journal entry ("Legmen Poet Shh Post") translates to:

There appears to be hidden messages within the capital letters in some of the other entries as well... looks like MONICA (?) is part of what's in the "What is in a name" entry, and I can see THEY HURT hidden in "Watch, Learn and Listen".

Entries suggest someone has been murdered.

There's too much stuff there. A couple of Poe poems, some odd uppercase letters ciphers, which are a bit ambiguous because it seems like the correct use of uppercase is to be ignored, sometimes. I got MONICA MONICA out of ELIZABETH REBECCA. Also saw something like THEY HURT on the oher one. I found what looks like a tinyurl but it takes me to my gmail account. Perhaps we should email [email protected] ? I don't know which is the key nor where is the door.
