No worries. Toadguy did voodoo and made them work, and the last one is better...
You know, there's a hell of a lot of different kinds of desk lamps out there! I'm learning so much because of LG15!
lol yeah that's exactly what my education was missing- a section on desk lamps.
just think of how ignorant we've been all these years!
It's defiantly a chalice...due to it's very strange shape and size, I'd almost guess that it's nothing more then a decoration piece. Often a ceremonial chalice would be placed by the alter in the house. The alter might not stick out and say HEY I"M AN ALTER but it would contain more then just a picture on a plain glass table. I'd expect to see a cloth on the table, a book looking like a photo album (spell book) and other occult/wiccan things.

But I could be wrong.
Yeah, it's definitely a lamp. Someone at work has one just like it. I'll post a picture if I can, but it's a lamp.
Whatever it is, I think the producers wanted the challice to appear as something important on screen. I guess the question is, do they just throw these sets together to mess with our minds? Kind of like the Absenthe ad that Dan thought was worth a close-up, but doesn't seem spooky or significant to me at all. I would hang that in my very non-occultic home. Of course, I am sure Crowley and some of his buddies from the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn probably enjoyed some fine absenthe in their time, along with many other artists and authors of the time.
If you ask me (and yes, I'm aware that you didn't), they would have made it more obvious if it were supposed to be a chalice. They have a ton of stuff that looks like this at places like Pier 1 Imports, Home Goods, TJmaxx etc. It seems likely to me that it's just decorative... like something you would see on an end table in someone's house for no apparent reason other than just that there needed to be something on the end table.
sooo i noticed that there's no electrical cord leading to this "lamp" so i'm pretty sure that's not what it is. and the top is shaped like a bowl...
i bet it has something to do with the absinthe theory.
I personally think the thing, whatever it is --though, I don't buy that it's a lamp--, is merely decoration. I just wanted to throw it out there in case there was something significant about it (like the shape looked familiar to someone??? I dunno). In any case, I'm really surprised that no one commented on the fact that in the second screen cap it showed that Daniel broke into Lucy's apartment on the day of the ceremony 10-12-06 @ 4:00pm, not after as it is described by Daniel. Most likely a slip up on the part of the creators.... or is it? *dun dun dun*
LOL
I mean, nothing is set in stone, right? Daniel could very well be the manipulative bad guy! >.>
