La Crete, Alberta, CA
Well, we have a thread about Wickenburg, so I thought I'd start one for La Crete. It was clearly shown in the Following the Helper video. However, while I can find more listings for the other locations, La Crete is pretty tough. The only remotely interesting thing is that it's a Mennonite community.
Any thoughts about anything interesting that happened here? Many google searches are in French, so I'm clueless there...

We had a Canadian poster somewhere who seemed to know quite a bit about the area. Hopefully he or she will see this post and share more information. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as you are since I don't speak French. It would be interesting to learn more.
As a side note, it's amazing how educational this has been. I don't know The Creators intended for us to get so much from this. Wow, imagine using this form of entertainment for education. Geography, science, theology, philosophy. It doesn't feel like learning since we're discovering for ourselves. Too bad high school wasn't like this for me. I might have developed a better grasp of science and math if the school used this form to educate us. Of course, I tend to learn better from my own research and writing and I know that wouldn't work for everyone.

I suggest trying some Google searches with "la crete" - religion, occult, murder, missing girl, ufo, etc. Anything that sounds good you can think of... I always get about 50/50 English/French, but haven't yet found anything interesting...Kasdeja wrote:I might be able to help with the French...I'm a little rusty, but I am sure to be able to be of some help....

O.K...I've searched all sorts of combos...and nothing for this town. It seems it's a small town that has virtually no crime, mostly Mennonite, 50% of the residents are under 25. The French sites said pretty much the same thing, couldn't find anything with thelema, denderah, crowley, missing girl, ufo, etc. Adding in murder only brought up the murder mystery play they have every year during thier festival.
