Sarah wants the Beast baaaad. She's trying so hard!

And, Jonas + Taylor? Boy, Bree's going to be left out when she comes back...

Other than that, good video. I don't have too much to say about the trait stuff yet. I don't know that I really could.

I like the idea of trying to steal Bree's medical records, to see what the trait actually IS.

Unfortunately, that might be pretty hard. If she was born in Cali and adopted in Cali, they'd have to take another road trip.. and that might not be the best idea right now. They need to figure out where Bree is first.

That, and maybe she was born out of state and adopted in Cali.

Hmmmmm.

Where the hell is Bree?!!

This is getting ridiculous. The main protagonist for a story fricken dissappears? That's NOT how you keep a story interesting. That's how you lose viewers and fans.

What if they killed Bree off? What if the ceremony happened on, well, say, Monday? I would be sooooo pissed off. >.<
Sorry, what's that I hear?

I don't know about America, but in Britain they have (or trying to have) all the documents on a central database.

Just thought that was worth mentioning.

They won't and it hasn't.

The Creators may not always hit the bulls eye when writing, but they aren't plain stupid.

I don't know why you're saying "Haha". That would be par for the course.

Also, there's a lot of "inbreeding" with order families.

And Lucy is Bree's aunt...wait; how do I know that?

Inbreeding? Not that that wouldn't be plausible, but how did that theory come about for you?

Inbreeding could make sense, though I wouldn't say it's for certain.

Kind of like royalty in Europe in the early centuries, they didn't want to 'muddy' their gene pool so they only married people who they knew were worthy -- their relatives, usually cousins.

If this trait is so sought after, whatever it is, maybe they inbreed to get it. Though maybe not so close as a cousin, at least I hope. Bree doesn't have webbed toes or anything.

As far as I can tell, she started it because Daniel looked more interested in Taylor than her. (no surprise after her initial prank) So she doesn't even want Daniel, she just wants to take boyfriends away from her sister. That makes her a spoiled, vindictive little tramp in my book.
Since her blog had her expressing interest in one of the boys prior to "No Trespassing" — with what we've seen from her since then, it's probably safe to assume that Daniel was the one she was interested in — the prank she pulled on him was probably her way of expressing interest (the same blog entry had her suggesting that Daniel should have appreciated getting that kind of attention from her). So it doesn't seem that she started it because of Taylor at all. In fact, she seems to have started it before Daniel and Taylor even met.

I feel kind of bad for saying this, but I think the mix of these four is far more interesting than the one of BD&J. But that could be because I don't like Bree all that much to begin with.

I don't want the character to die or randomly disappear forever (the first would be sad, and the second would piss me off), but I don't think it's hurting anything right now.

Anyway, really, this isn't the first time something like this has been done. Look at "Final Fantasy VII" for an example: The main character of that disappears for a significant period of the game, and the thing has sold almost 10 million copies in a franchise that has sold more than 60 million.

It's not necessarily a bad decision. It's all in how it's done, like with anything else.

voyboy wrote:trait negative - shes a bad apple. NOT ceremony material.
Whatever that may be.
I think that just means that she doesn't have whatever factor in her blood she would need in order to be ceremony material -- not that she's a "bad apple."
Aponi wrote: Up until now, the only mention of 'traits' is when Bree said that girls who display certian traits are placed in controled homes.
Actually, the info on the whiteboard in the bunker indicated that the former Resistance members had decided that the girls chosen for the ceremony had "something in the blood." That could certainly be interpreted as a "trait."

But mine all plug in -- they don't use batteries. And they don't make that much . . .

Never mind.

aideen wrote:In the LGpedia it says Dan says:

But his facial expression didn't seem right, and besides, it was pretty random to say while wearing a doctors outfit

I thought he actually said:

Don't call me Beast. . . .

But maybe I was wrong. I've gone back and listened, and I swear, he says 'don't' rather than 'they'
I heard "Don't." Quite clearly.
TOSG wrote:Oh god, Jackson acted CIRCLES around the girls in this one. Totally outclassed, even though I do like them.
Agreed.
TOSG wrote:The "trait negative" bit seems to suggest that the ceremony girl requires a certain genetic/medical feature, which many of us have been speculating for a while. I'm glad that they're presumably going in this direction.
As I noted above, the whiteboard in the bunker clearly suggested that there's a genetic/medical feature. So the reference in this vid is nothing new.
kismetologist wrote:I thought the flirting was just jonas bringing some humor to the situation. Then Taylor saying "does that work on all the girls, or just me?" seemed to throw him for a loop. Did you notice the awkward eye shift as he said "wow i don't know my own powers..." and got up?
Definitely. That line from Taylor was just a conversation-killer.

And it pissed me off, because the script seems to be shifting Taylor very quickly (and without explanation) from baby-dyke vibe to boy- and man-crazy. Of course, I really liked the baby-dyke vibe, so I'm unhappy about the switch, but it also makes no sense in terms of character development.
kismetologist wrote:Trait negative? Well...looks like she's not the girl and they may have wasted a whole lot of time messing around with the whole kidnapping business.
I thought that the "trait negative" proved that this whole Jules situation was clearly a setup, and that Jules was never in danger -- she simply served as bait to get Bree to offer herself for the ceremony, in order to "save" Jules from doing it (and supposedly being killed).
amybagofdonuts wrote:PS- I don't think it was a reference to a vibrator because:
Most take AA batteries
(From Wikipedia)"The sale of vibrators and similar "novelty items" is forbidden in several states in the southern USA. In the state of Texas, the sale of devices for sexual stimulation such as vibrators and dildos is technically illegal, but many stores will sell such items provided that the customer sign a statement that the device will be used only for educational purposes"
Have you seen "The Dildo Diaries"? It's all about this very subject. The late Texas political commentator and humorist Molly Ivins is in it, and she's hilarious.

Not here, not yet. There are all kinds of legal and technological barriers at this point that various groups are trying to deal with.

The high-powered ones take D-batteries.

Sarah seems like the type to order one online and have it delivered out of state, then take it and drive back home. xD

A lot of work for a vibrator.

You might not think so if you'd tried her vibrator.
