They called Amy Grant the devil's music? WTF?

Jesus, I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Isn't that funny! You should see my mothers reaction when I'm driving her somewhere and have my music playing. It's priceless. She just shakes her head and giggles. (She was born and raised Buddest, and as I have now learned never really bought into the whole devil or hell thing, as a result she isn't horrified but she still isn't comfortable with my choice of music).

You have really good taste in music, Aithne. I love everything you've mentioned here so far (some of it I'd heard before, and some I hadn't).

I have eclectic taste in music. In fact, I bought my first country album (Dixie Chicks last album), a while ago. I'm not sure if that counts though, since my main reason for buying it was because I convinced myself that it would piss Bush off if a lot of the albums sold.

You get another :smt049 from me for that comment.

Is there any country music you think you do like for sure? Alan Jackson? Kenny Chesney? Keith Urban? I can see you liking "Days Go By" by him.

I have never heard of any of them before. In all honesty Garth Brooks made it difficult for me to listen to any country music for quite a while. I could see myself listening to Keith Urban though. Its not so....'twangy' as what I am familiar with in country music.

Not a Bush fan? \:D/

This is the song I like from the Dixie Chicks.

Not Ready To Make Nice

I'm sure you have heard it. I love it because it is like a personal screw you to everyone that got so upset about the one girls Bush comment

Haha, "twangy." XD I know what you're trying to say, and that's as good a word as any.

That's an understatement. The only Bush's I'm a fan of are the one that performed "Glycerine" and ... well, I'm sure it's obvious what the other one is. XD

Yeah, I've definitely heard this. I like this song quite a bit. I actually liked the Dixie Chicks way back in the day when they first came out and I was really upset about how they got treated over that comment - especially since it's a sentiment that they're practically applauded for now.

What's another random song you love?

ETA: It occurs to me that "when they first came out" would be a bad choice of words. XD "When they first got big" would be the right ones.

I also used to love Korn. Before the changes in the band members, its just not the same for me.

Music Question: What's your favorite (if you like them at all) Pearl Jam song?

I know what you mean.

I'll tell you what's been a recent big blow to me, and not the good kind: The end of Audioslave. I loved those guys so much.

Hmm. That's a good question. I think "Daughter," probably.
