Yeah there are definitely a lot of Buffy similarities as well. Especially with all these new girls...totally reminds me of season 7.

And Daniel, the computer geek with his addiction could be Willow and her magic addiction. (at first I thought he was more of a Xander, with his unrequited love thing going on, but I've recently changed him to a Willow, now that he's getting all dark and broody. More of a "Bad Willow" type, lol)

Jonas would be Xander with his happy-go-lucky personality.

Buffy's mom died...Bree's dad died.

They are both fighting something that is really just too big for one girl to deal with on her own.

Buffy got a new little sister to protect, Bree is getting a new ceremony girl to protect.

Alex has a little early series Cordelia in her. Down deep --really deep-- probably a good person, but gets the Scooby gang into a lot of trouble.

I could go on, but (sorry!) this is really off the topic.

When I saw the whiteboard in the old resistance "bunker" it immediately made me think of the hatch in LOST and the blacklight drawings on the walls.
