The New Fan Fic Section

Actually, it appears they are very related as a spin off and possible ARG. She is "another who has the mark" as True Free Will put it.

I don't see how that fits into the FanFic section though??

The lobby is more so about Fan Art and Fan Stories.
I don't think the lobby should includ stuff like that, that just doesn't make a lick any sense for a fanfic section BK. My hyper video and any video like that should be in Off the Cuff or GTKEO

The idea of the Lobby is to discuss any other fan creations, whether it be myspace pages, poetry, or art, or to discuss videos created by fans that are not LG15-related. We never had a place for these videos before, and thus they got lost in busy forums like Off the Cuff.

Of course, if you create a fun or silly message for friends and want it to remain in Off the Cuff, that's ok. But the idea of the Lobby is to demonstrate all of fans' creations!

yea but the majority of stuff in tere is related to LG

The only thing I see in there that isn't is my hyper video.

The rest of the stuff is artwork and poetry and stories that parralel or mirror LG. And I think that is appropriate because they aren't videos. Its just a place to share the odds and ends that do not fit in with new releases and in depth.

But with a fanfiction section, FanFiction is defined as stories that run in the same universe, parrelell the story and/or mirror the story. And what your saying doesn't make sense for a fanfiction section. It's simply and orginizational problem.

A FanFic lobby, in any other sense would be exactly what we are trying to use it as:
art, Poetry and writen story that occur within the breeniverse. Nothing else.

The idea of the Lobby is to expose creations by fans. Pushedbutton's "Humph" video is there too. One of Marbella's non-LG15 videos was put there. This way, the creations of fans get more attention. There was no logical place to put non-LG15-related videos in the past, and dropping them into a catch-all forum like Off the Cuff was a sure way of getting it lost in the shuffle.

I understand your confusion. This is our intention for this forum, and I think it will be a great way to illustrate all the contributions fans have to offer. This is a good thing!

Of all the concerns people have had so far, this one surprises me the most. Generally, people would appreciate an opportunity to highlight their work. But if you would like your particular video moved back to Off the Cuff, send me a PM.

I was very shocked to learn that there would be no official ARG. Mostly because the Creators had said early on that they were looking for a new PM. FTW and MaddieAtkins are too new. I think the only true FARG is FacilityJ. Am I the only one that's confused by this?

I have to say I'm in complete agreement with immortal1. We are getting to the point in the TFW/Maddie ARG that its' hard to keep the archives and everything together. I'm usre FacilityJ is haveing the same issues.

At this point and time, the sections required by the new "games" don't need to be as extensive as Op's was, just one heading where all the threads that relate to them could be posted. I'm thinking

Plus add the TFW and fanfic HoO ones from the Lobby and the video threads from new releases... It's getting too spread out to keep organized. I'd gladly register a related domain name and set up our own forums for this ARG, but the LG15 forums should be the repository of all LG15-spinoff ARGs. Otherwise, I'd have done it by now...

Gah! I just discovered the whole "Maddy" thing, and am trying to catch up. And my previous thought, that the new fan section was hard to navigate was right!

If this turns out to be cannon, I hope it gets outed soon, so that it can have a nice, tidy section on the board somewhere.

Yes. This new ARG has proven your point already, even though it's only a few days old. (I suspect it's fanfic, though. I hope that doesn't preclude it getting it's own section. Because with it's fast pace thus far, it really needs one location for all related threads...)
