Watch the Video before you post!!!!!!!!!!

In theory reading all the posts before posting is great. However some of us log in to over 20 pages of comments. Sorry, not reading them all. shrugs

I think it depends on what someone's dropping in to do with their post. If they just want to throw in what they thought of it ("I thought it was creepy/boring/pointless/whatever"; "I liked/hated it, and here's why"), then I think it would be ridiculus to expect them to read every post.

It's only when they're going to posit an observation or theory 20 pages in with the assumption that no one else noticed or considered it that I think it's reasonable to expect they read everything. Anything else would seem like pretending the thread didn't start until you posted.

I've noticed that some people will post what they thought of the video, and then say they're going to go back and read everything that's been said before doing anything else. That seems like a perfectly considerate and reasonable approach.

all the people who post the "yay a new video, I wonder what its going to be about it's taking forever to load" aren't going to see this topic here. Just seeing the topic in the Videos forum, will get some people to watch the video first.

You will never, ever, ever, get the pre-vid chatter to stop. The solution the mods have come up with about splitting the threads is the best way to work around this problem, IMO.
