The adjectives add an element of psychological warfare amongst the children, because they can insult the circle, confuse the circle with 'May Duck' or 'Gray Puck'

*waves arms* Hell yeah, it's frozen pasta and jar sauce. Bring an appetite! Bring the wifey! Bring the wifey WITH an appetite. :D

Yes, I know, jar sauce, the horror. But the BF is pretty anal about having veggies in his sauce, so I just really figure to hell with even trying to cook something all nicey nice and just go simple FTW.

Now that I think about it, you might want to re-schedule the visit for tomorrow--baby back ribs night!

I don't think there's anything wrong with jar sauce - I docter it up regularly. Plus, frozen ravis - who the hell has the time to make them from scratch? I have before but what a time investment.

But you are right - I should reschedule for the baby backs! Are you BBQ'ing them?

Honey, like I told DJ, it's frozen/canned, and will take me a half an hour to make. You can have a whole damn plate. :D (Tries to figure out what she's gonna tell the BF when all these people start showing up)

I would love to try and make my own pasta---my kitchen is basically a "galley", and I have very limited kitchen space, so I only have so much room for my gadgets (2 crockpots, a bread maker, and a fondue set--the rest are stored at my mom's house)..I just can't fathom buying something like a pasta maker, because where the hell would I put it?

Depending on how industious I feel, I have done sauce from scratch...it seems to be more trouble than it's worth though, because it gets the exact same reaction, as, say, Newman's marinara.

Of course it'll be BBQ'ed! I rub them down and bake 'em for a couple hours in tinfoil before addicting a doctored up Sweet Baby Ray's (probably the best sauce I've ever had, then again, my BBQ experience is limited)...I usually add a bit of teriyaki to mine, the BF likes a bit of pineapple juice. Though I warn you, all manners are set aside on rib night. We convert back to cavemen. ;)

Sounds fabtastic! I like Sweet Baby Rays pretty well - it's very tasty. If you like teriyaki you should try Veri Veri Teriyaki by Soy Vay - it's primo!

Also - I know exactly what you're talking about with the homemade red sauce. It they can't tell the difference then what does it matter? Though I do like making pesto from scratch - it's hard to find a good pesto sauce.

Anyway, don't you live in New England or something? That means if my wife and I leave tonight we'll get there on ... Monday? I hope there'll be ribs still
