Sheginah, a story arc is a smaller plot line within a larger story.
Do you watch CSI? Right now there's a story arc involving the miniature murders...a storyline that falls within the entire show.
Story arcs are also seen a lot in Soap Operas...and a lot of dramatic television series, where stories are carried over several episodes.
In years past we'd often get "To be continued..." at the end of a TV show. Nowadays, it's not used very often very it's almost expected that the storyline will carry over and intertwine over two or more episodes.

Also - just to confuse you more - some story arcs are not clear cut as to when one ends and the other begins. In LG15's case, for OpAphid at any rate, they seem to want to make it known: "Last story's done, now we're moving into a new chapter."

Ok, I am getting the idea.
What was the last story? Can it be briefly addressed or is it just too complicated, and opaphid is just indicating a change in tactic and direction?
The last arc was called "The I in Aphid". All those threads can be seen in the prologue forum.
EDIT to add I believe that "Parallax" as it's shifting in perspective etc is going to be filled with several shifts in power between Bree&Co, Tach&Co, and Op%Co, which we've already seen a bit of so far. I'm sure that's already common knowledge though ha.
I believe that the last video was an outstanding example of parallax. The fan response to it was pretty phenomenal, too. I just wanted to say that the concept rocks!
(I still have to read the transcripts though, to let all the action sink in, but what happens in my head is that I begin to see and analyze what is happening more in what feels like multi-level 3-D. Is it just me?)
Okay, maybe I'm just a little slow, but I guess I don't get the new game. I understand what a Parallax is, but are there things we need to figure our and/or look for?
I actually have followed several ARG's and I have read the stickies. I was just inquiring as to what we were looking for in this one. I must just slow to catch on, but as you guys have said it's on a pause. I guess what I'm really asking, is how the new videos are an ARG.
Bunny...ladylazurus has nothing to do with OpAphid. From my understanding, it is a game unto itself in conjunction with other characters. Hopefully someone involved in that one will come post here.
Queen, the new videos are not part of the ARG right now. We are not currently working on any puzzles.
It's official!! I'm getting married September 28, 2007!!
