Watch the Video before you post!!!!!!!!!!

Every time there a new video, someone posts a topic, and gets 2 pages of replies before the video is even loaded. Can't people just wait till the've seen the video??? That way they can post meaningful comments.

This post is about as much as a waste of space as the 1 1/2 pages of talk... which actually does contain some information about the video.

Also... if you don't like reading the post video chat... you can easily click on the 3 page if you come in late. Anything relevant that is on the prior two pages will usually be quoted on the third page. The video is usually loaded by the third page. It's really not that big of a deal and I don't understand why people gets so anal about it. Just skip the first two pages... that's all you have to do!!

trouble is, sometimes meaningful chat is mixed in; but a helluvalotta people post just to say "FIRST!!!1111!!!!11!!" AND "OMG, A CLIFFHANGER!" which is very lame-ass.

The FIRST!!!!!111!!! Are generally not here on the board... they are on the main page. I just don't pay any attention to that page... the comments under the videos usually are lame.

Heh, great job demonstrating pet peeves, guys and gals.

Misty - as Zi said, if pre-video chatter lasts for approximately 3+ pages, those posts are split off into their own category to make way for video discussion. Now that this is resolved, I'm going to move it to Concerns & Complaints where it belongs.

i'm being sarcastic with the "first!!11!" comment, but there's usually a lot of posts about "a new vid!" "yay!" "why won't it load!" "yeah, it won't load" "is it loaded yet?" etc

Eh, I don't have an issue with the talk about the video if it's still loading.

I get annoyed with the people who say things like, "Well I haven't read anything in this thread yet but did you guys know the sky was blue....." kind of thing. When, in fact, the blue had been discussed at least 5 times.

Don't get me wrong, I've done this once or twice myself...and I'm ashamed of it. I find that more annoying that a page or two of chatter waiting for the video.

Those people seem so inconsiderate. If I'm going to come in at the end of a thread without having read the earlier posts (and like Bethy, I do do that sometimes), I do my best to limit my comments to my own opinions/reactions -- like "Whoooo! I sure didn't expect Jonas to turn out to be half monkey!" -- and not raise issues that I want people to discuss -- like "Does anyone think that collar he was wearing in the six previous vids, when he was walking around with an organ-grinder and holding a tin cup, might have given us some clue about his monkey origins?" Not caring that people have already discussed the cup and the collar ad nauseum.

moving this thread to the Concerns and Complaints forum totally undermines it.

all the people who post the "yay a new video, I wonder what its going to be about it's taking forever to load" aren't going to see this topic here. Just seeing the topic in the Videos forum, will get some people to watch the video first.

No offense, but it's a complaint...hence why it's here. If left where it was it would probably only get you insulted, etc. Plus, this thread isn't discussing a video, either, just something that annoys YOU...so...it's...almost like the pot calling the kettle black.
