One thing I would say to your fears, they are totaly normal. *puts on her work hat for a second* However in the US no one has ever gone blind or suffered siginficant sight regression due to Laser Vision Correction. The FDA has put into place more then one security measure to prevent such things from happening. In more then 15 years, the company I work for has done 700,000 procedures. No blindness at all. really. I've been legally blind in my left eye since birth.. (lazy eye that was treated too late.) I might have to take a look at that sight.. my good eye is declining steadily with my massive computer use.. and I've never spoken to anyone I trusted abbout it. thanks, tenshi.. well, I've decided one thing from this conversation.. I'm going to tenshi for a referral if I ever get up the courage to do it!

Only thing I can think of that would cause that is A) Old technology. B) New doctor who didnt have expeirance, or C) She went to one company in particular. Lasik Vision Insitute has been know to mess up alot because the move thier lasers on flat beds of trucks.

Our company A) Uses only the top of the line tech (matter of fact we jsut got the newst lasers last week!) b) Have docs who have done up to 51,000 procedures and C) Is not LVI hehe

May have to ask her about it out of profesional curiosity. I collect stories about mess ups. Everyone honest to gods doctor mess up I've heard about has always been LVI.

I just love my Lasik so much I get hyper when people are considering it. hehe I'm still trying to get my mom and dad to do it. Both of them are in that "well I dont know" mind set.
