The whole him being cheery thing maybe was just a way to get his mind off of things... Bree mostly...
I have always maintained that Daniel would be triggered at some point. Perhaps the aunt's house was to be the trigger point.

I think it's possible that Jonas is with the Order, but was changing his mind about completing his assignment after he started falling for Bree and liking Daniel; and was also sincerely trying to hide them in the mountains. However, after being tied up for days, he went back to the "dark side"...lol. He then did what he was ordered to do...take them to the aunt's house.
Chlowee wrote:how the heck did they get the word "troll" outta that?!

Trolls live under bridges, have green skin, purple hair, and eat garbage. :D
Troll is also a fishing term; to lure fish with bait. I think the term may have originated with this, because the "troll" is fishing around "baiting" people to anger; this could be combined with the other meaning, which would mean the person was ugly.
FyodorReader wrote: ps.. pretty sure that the cabin was near Big Bear cuz the view of the lake on the drive up there ( from "Yellow Snow") looks just like big bear...
It has been determined that it is Big Bear, and the Creators acknowledged that and asked that no one call cabin owners there.

Since we are talking about Yousef's looks, I think he got some plastic surgery on this nose. I've been loath to bring this up, but I will now.

Does anyone else think that Daniel may still feel like a third-wheel because he has been totally ignored due to the infighting between Bree and Jonas? That Bree's attention is focused almost totally on Jonas once again? If we've noticed the sexual tension, don't you think he has? This is why I think Daniel seemed suicidal; in addition to the weird, out-of-character behavior.

Daniel said something about sailing into the sunset and....

And what? And drowning? Ending up in the Bahamas? It's weird he didn't finish this.

He could also be programmed to commit suicide, so that Jonas the Orderite has total control of Bree.

Besides this, Daniel has sacrificed everything for Bree, probably in the hopes that she would return his love at some point. Now his life is in ruins, and he can't return to a normal one; he has been kidnapped, brain-washed, has to stay constantly on the run; is forced to live off of Jonas and watch him and Bree in this super-emotional relationship, knowing that Jonas loves her too, and Bree probably never will love him (My basis for saying that Jonas loves Bree is the several references that Jonas and Daniel have made to each other about the other just wanting Bree all to himself. I also think that the reason Jonas didn't ditch Bree after the cabin incident, if he is not Order, is because he's in love with her). Even if Jonas is Order...if Daniel doesn't think he is, then to him it's a love thing. All of this combined (plus possible brain-washing) makes it entirely possible that Daniel is suicidal.

It was pretty good, I must agree. It was nice seeing him thinking positive and acting a little conceited, but in a jovial way.

Their last known driving location was in Malibu, Ca. And the location of Daniel's latest vid shows tide pools. Which leads us to the closest tide pools in the area at Malibu State Beach. Try these coordinates on for size in Google Earth.

34 00 04.36" N, 118 48 30.23" W

Now where's the aunt's house? In the general vicinity. They don't wander far from where they are staying when they shoot video.

Nikki B? There's your lead.

Good point, if there is no Op interference.

EDIT: However, I strongly feel there was bitterness in his tone when he said that (What would they do without DB?). I also think what he said about returning home to "bitter and bitterer", meant him and Jonas. Bree is not bitter now, that I can see; nor have I ever seen Bree display that emotion.

Is the climate in California really that wide-ranged?
Uh...yeah. I grew up on the western edge of the Mojave desert (in Lancaster), and the running joke is that it was the perfect place to live...but if we wanted something different, we could have it within a 90 minute drive. Surfing at the beach? Check. Snow skiing in the mountains? Check. Camping at the lake? Check. Desert waste land of nothingness? Oh, check...check and check. Secret government facilities and UFOs? Check. Agricultural stuff? Check. Big ass city? Check. Amusement parks? Check. It just goes on and on. California is...or at least used to be...a great place to live. Now? It's just too expensive and crowded...and over half the adult population is functionally illiterate because they can barely speak English (that's actually a fact...I'm not making it up.)

From Wiki...
California climate varies from Mediterranean to subarctic. Most of the state has a Mediterranean climate, with cool, rainy winters and dry summers. The cool California Current offshore often creates summer fog near the coast. Further inland, the climate has colder winters and hotter summers.

Northern parts of the state average higher annual rainfall than the south. California's mountain ranges influence the climate as well: some of the rainiest parts of the state are west-facing mountain slopes. Northwestern California has a temperate climate and the Central Valley has a Mediterranean climate but with greater temperature extremes than the coast. The high mountains, including the Sierra Nevada, have a mountain climate with snow in winter and mild to moderate heat in summer.

The east side of California's mountains has a drier rain shadow. The low deserts east of the southern California mountains have hot summers and nearly frostless mild winters; the higher elevation deserts of eastern California have hot summers and cold winters. In Death Valley, the highest temperature in the Western Hemisphere, 134 °F (56.6 °C), was recordedJuly 10, 1913.

i disagree (but of course) that its not a good place to live... granted that it is too expensive and (in some areas) it is overcrowded... but CA is a great place to live if you like diversity and culture... if you cant be open minded its best not to live in CA.... however that is also a great thing about CA is that there is always some debate going on and people can be open about it... haha and ya i doubt that the rest of the US is better in literacy in comparison to CA.... in fact CA has one of the best edu systems in the US and saying that means that the US does need to shape up in edu regards... ha and if you want to harp on the "barely speak English"... just dont go there... *aye here we go on political rant, but will stop myself short* ... without CA being what it is ... economically and culturally the US would suffer...

Uhm, I grew up here Southern California...so I know what it's about. I like diversity...but things are going from diversity to something else. And, yes...over half of LA county's adult population is functionally illiterate. That's an absolute fact. IT came from a study done by the United Way. This is because the diversity is turning into attitudes of entitlesment. The area is fracturing into cultures, and many of the cultures don't value the level of education available to them.

Here: http://www.vdare.com/rubenstein/la_literacy.htm

At any rate...people who have been born and raised here are leaving en mass. That's another fact...and it's because of the cultural entitlement issues. I know what neighborhoods to avoid...not becuase of crime (although there are some places I wouldn't go for that reason) but because I know if s tore with have somebody who speaks English nor not.

Last weekend I really wanted some true Ramen soup. It's LA...you can find anything in LA. BUt, as it turned out, the shopping center I found had signs all in Japanese...I knew I was in trouble...but I went in anyway, hoping the menus would be in English.

No. In fact...I got totally stared at by the patrons and staff when I walked in. I was clearly the only non-Japanese person in the whole place. The menus didn't have a word of English. The waitress had no idea what I meant when..on giving up on the menu...I simply asked for a Miso Ramen with vegetables. She didn't understand...and it took another patron to relay the message for me. I was the one embarassed...even though I really had no reason to be.

I don't mind the cultural diversity...but this is the US...not Japan. A lot of cultures in LA are glomming together rather than assimilating and sharing their culture. There's a big difference.

Thank goodness someone else mentioned the teeth before I did. It;s weird, he looks so handsome most of the time but this vid emphasized his worst feature. His front two teeth are huge.
Oh well, he's still cuter than Jonas to me.

and I agree (I hope DB isn't suicidal or leaving I would miss him so much)

I keep hearing 'Daniel gave up his life because of Bree' over and over again.

First off; he gave up his life because he chose to 'break and enter' and follow Bree to the fake ceremony. He gave up his life because he convinced her not to do the ceremony. He ran afoul of the oder because of choices he chose to make, not choices Bree made for him.

One might say instead that Bree gave up her life of unquestioning obedience because of Daniel (and I think that would actually be more accurate).

Second of all; He was not able to go back to that life because he found hidden cameras in his room. That took the order out of the realm of paranoia and conjecture. Up until that point he was on the run by choice to protect Bree.

Third of all:He gave up a boring dead end job and a stint at Junior college for a life of excitement and intrigue.

Why do people insist on saying he gave up his life for Bree as if it is Bree's fault? I am not getting this. He gave up his life (such as it was) for something much more interesting (and far more worth filming I might add) because of the Order. They are the ones who are chasing him, brainwashing him, bugging his phone, kidnapping him and hypnotizing him with spin art, not Bree.
