discuss

ohhh I got a question for ya'll

ever had that someone in your life that was "the-one-that-got-away"?

this one girl I was with... she was a rollercoaster ride... (not in the pervy way :P )... the way we met was at a rave... she put her arm around me took me to dance... I kept asking her if she was "rolling"... she was sober... spent a great time with her the night thru... then she ended up leaving with the hot dog vendor guy on his bike... I was like wtf??? lmao

then I got her name from her best friend... spent a whole weekend with her.. went to a hotel.. didn't get a room just walked around for hours and talked... we were about to sleep in the hallway... until we saw hotel staff so we snuck into the storage room... got bored... tried to find those skeleton keys that open all the rooms and sneak into one  ... no luck (oh god what would've happened if we succeeded tho woo) anyway lol...
we ended up getting free continental breakfast... saying we left our key in the room and calling each other honey lol... no sleep for 28 hrs... snuck into the movie theaters... saw like 4 movies... got free posters...went to long drugs to get a kite... went to a park... 32 hrs still no sleep... flew the kite... broke the kite... went back to my house after 4something hrs... she passed out on my bed... (god, I was such a damn gentleman *stupid ass*actually I was a Virgin *even worse*lol)... then I took her home... BTW it was all her idea... I just went along for the ride...

spent a couple more weeks with her... she was great with my friends...

went to a billards with her bro... he almost got into a fight... I got in the middle of two 6 foot big guys... told them I was gunna knock em both out if they don't calm the F*** down...

on the drive home... her bro was thanking me for stopping him... said I could've taken him... I was thinking (no I couldn't lol)...

watched a movie with her that night, she was in bed... *invited* me to stay the night... I was wierded out cause her bro was across the room from her... (gah stupid virgin status)

then... never heard from her again... 8 months later.. she finally answered my call... met at her college baseball field... got a hug... promised to keep in touch... never did... son of a b*&ch life sucks lol

I kinda had that "one that got away" experience.

I had a guy friend who was awesome, after being friends for awhile it turned into something more. He had a great sense of humor (my fave quality), was unbelievably gorgeous (im not shallow, but he was beautiful) and he really "understood" me .. which is something a lot of people cant do (even mr. bunni doesnt fully understand me as a person, he's getting close but not 100%)

Anyways, we dated for a couple months, things were fabulous. Then one of my jealous girlfriends made up a story and got a couple other people to play along telling him that I cheated on him. WHICH WAS UNTRUE!
Granted it was stupid for him to believe it, but still, what a bitch huh?

He stopped returning my calls and we have not spoke since.

HOWEVER, I wouldnt neccessarily say he's the one that got away.. Im not sure if we would have ended up married or anything, but at least as a friend.. I missed him. And I am a firm believer that everything in life happens for a reason.

There was a reason for us not to be together. So now Ive moved on and have Mr. Bunni. We have had some struggles along the way, but I truly believe we are good for each other. The circumstances in which we met and ended up together is a KRAZY story.... one that I can only define as fate. But thats just me.

As for the other dude, I still think about him once in awhile (and stalk his myspace occasionaly.. lol j/k) But I am content in how things ended up.

My entire time in high school can kind of be categorized that way. I was pretty shy with very little self-confidence when I was a teen. I can't count the number of times I've heard from women that I went to high school with "I wish you would have asked me out back then." I kick myself.

The moral of the story is to always be willing to take a chance with these types of things. You'll never know what might have been if you don't try in the first place.

Hmm, I guess that was more of a "if I knew then what I know now" story, but kind of along the same lines. :D

yea, being young at the time... makes it all the more terrifying...

I guess the best advice for younglings would be to take every chance as long as your not playing in a life/death situation, otherwise... like us... you will end up always wondering... "what if..."

Its not the boyfriends that I think about, its the friends. I hate how things can get messed up. But I'm a firm believer in karma, so I'll take the occasional toss under the wheels of an 18-wheeler if it means my friends end up happy in the end.

But don't let it get out that I'm a nice person who may have the best intentions behind my actions...it would ruin my rep.

In retrospect, I'm quite happy that "the one that got away" got away. Where would I be if she hadn't left? Not married to my wonderful wife, and the thought of that makes me more sad than any nostalgia for past relationships ever could.

edited: to agree with Zi... I do miss some of my old friends, though!
