I do think that we must limit ourselves to what information Daniel has or can obtain... and hiding in a cabin in the mountains in the snow, he's not likely to obtain random covers of older or foreign editions, of which there are many.
He's got the same resource as the rest of us (the internet), though I do think that the clue was as much to help us (since we've all got access to the file now) as him.

And it's not like Tachyon wasn't expecting us to get involved.

Which books?

Post by OwenIsCool »

Hi all,
I'm working on an LGPedia article that will log the puzzle solution and the clues that contribute. Obviously, there's still very little in it, but I was interested in including the titles of the five books in the package. I went through the thread and found
* The Clue in the Diary
* The Quest of the Missing Map
* The Secret of the Old Clock
* The Secret of the Forgotten City
If anyone knows... which is the fifth title? Do I at least have these four correct? :smt100
I've been around the LGpedia for months, but I'm new at the forum. If you have any wiki related questions, feel free to ask. But leave the forum questions to me!

Those three are definite. "The Secret of the Old Clock" is a possibility some of us think to be likely, but neither it nor the fifth have been actually confirmed.

Password to Larkspur Lane is the last one.
Or at least that's what some believe it to be.
This has yet to be confirmed as well.

"Password to Larkspur Lane," and "The Twin Dilemma" (which Luminous found) are the closest matches we have so far. The Twin Dillema is the most heavily disputed, because it looks darker in the video than it should be, and it was written in 2005-- however, there's nothing else that matches even remotely as well among the original 56 Nancy Drew books. The titles are exactly the same shape (and no other title has yet to look exactly like it) and there's a street lamp reflection that looks to be identical on both.

I'd say Larkspur Lane is pretty definite-- we could use more input on "The Twin Dilemma" though.

Just to clarify on this thread also...

The Twin Dilemma was not first published in 2005. That is a reprint date. It is at least as old as 1981.

Which, even if it's not one of the original 56, is totally old enough to be legit. Yay!

Pg 112:
"If you see a downed pigeon, check to see if it's ferrying any messages. It might be a carrier pigeon."
[Password to Larkspur Lane]

Pg 132:
"If you are afraid of being followed when you leave your house, buy a new car and have it brought around the back of the house for a sneaky escape."
(this passage was followed by "?")

I wouldn't say they are definate until we have a sure confirmation from Tachyon or Daniel.

its a glitch with the editing.
The audio is from when he pans around to the package.

yea they've dne it before in a couple of videos. Putting the audio ahead of the visual. Its like...a neat little sensation effect. forced the mind to catch up with the ears.
they've done it mostly in recent videos...but not much, it's ostly audio over lke scenery panning and then to the person talking or visa-versa
