Scientology

Anyone looked into Scientology/dianetics as a possibility? Founded by L Ron Hubbard. Hubbard was involved with occultist Jack Parsons in performing rites developed by Aleister Crowley[21]. Some researchers have noted similarities in Hubbard's writings to the doctrines of Crowley.

There is a link between Crowley and Hubbard, but then again, Crowley, you know.... Got around.

He's dabbled in everything.

But not much other evidence from the videos have shown a link. A Scientologist wouldn't have wanted to "Prove Science Wrong".

Bree's parents seem like pretentious, cosmopolitan intellectuals, not rich, moronic moviestars.

As a Floridian who was once heavily involved in the Scientology protest movement (participated in two Lisa McPherson demonstrations at Flag and flew to Los Angeles to participate the Birthday demonstration at Big Blue), and absolutely no fan of Scientology....

.... I can say with strong confidence that the religion of Bree's family bears little resemblance to hardcore Scientology. We would by now have heard Bree indulging in some tone 40 boasting/peptalk, she would have mentioned "tech" or "auditing" or talked about being on "course," or some sort of jargon. Scientology lingo is no secret to anyone in Hollywood. Presumably, up and coming filmmakers would also be unlikely to start their careers poking at the litigious bear. Even Matt Groening and Trey Parker and Matt Stone (not even to mention Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Carter, and Jon Stewart) waited a good long while to be firmly established before getting around to ribbing that religion, and both Simpsons and South Park have (or had, in South Park's case) Scientologist talent on staff.

Ooh yeah I just read a lot of that first atricle exposing Scientology and I can honestly say it creeps me out more than Thelema does (no offense Thelemites).

In the vid my helper Bree mentions that "she is back on track now" and I think I have heard he use this term in a few other videos as well.

I agree that it would be a risk poking at this religion, but who know's.
