Lurker, I usually agree with you, but on this point we differ. Assuming that Daniel was indoctrinated when he was a lot younger (I don't buy the "two years ago at camp" idea), I think it would make perfect sense for the Order to have waited until now to trigger Daniel, under the theory that Bree needed to rebel against the Order in order to be genuinely prepared for the Ceremony -- the old "free will" aspect. If this theory is correct, the main Daniel personality, the one we know and love, has been a catalyst for that rebellion.

(Everything I say in this post from here out will assume that both the "free will is necessary" theory and the "spin control" theory are correct.)

The Order probably assumed that if Bree believed her "parents" were in danger, she'd exercise her free will and agree to do the ceremony in order to save them. But Bree's adoptive dad thwarted that plan by planting the note in P.Monkey telling her to stay with Daniel -- not realizing that the Order had control of Daniel as well. (Remember, he didn't have access to the high-level information about the Order that her adoptive mom did.)

Bree's dad continued to throw monkey wrenches (no pun intended) into the plan by getting in touch with Bree and telling her the truth about the Order. So the Order/Oppy killed him to remove him as an obstacle. But how to convince Bree to do the ceremony at this point? (Especially since Bree's dad told her something about her mom that made Bree want to cut off contact with her, therefore ensuring that Danger To Her Mom won't convince Bree to do the ceremony.)

Who's left in Bree's life that she trusts and cares about? One person: Daniel.

I have several theories as to why the "alter" personality, DannyB, had to be triggered at this point.

First theory: he had to be triggered in order for Bree to be convinced that Daniel had been brainwashed and was in danger, and that she needed to do the ceremony in order to release him from the mind control.

Here comes the flaw in this theory: why did Bree need to think that he'd been brainwashed in order to believe he was in danger? I can only think of one somewhat lame reason: because the Order had access to so many vids of him acting like his "normal" self (meaning his main personality) that they could easily have put together a fake vid of him asking her for help. But the DannyB persona is somebody we've never seen before, so there's no way that vid could be faked unless Daniel was in the Order's hands.

Second theory, which I like much better: that the main personality, Daniel, who loves Bree and wants to take care of her, would never voluntarily spill information about her, even under torture. So the DannyB alter, who's been hiding right there in Daniel's body for every development in the series, would be triggered to provide that information to the Order.

IAE, I don't think that either the main "Daniel" personality or the alter "DannyB" needs to know anything about the Order itself in order to be useful. He (or the plural "hes"?) just needs (need?) to have Bree's trust, so he can keep an eye on her and learn whatever information he can, about her, what she's doing, and what she knows about the Order.

To answer your final question: remember, Daniel is the one who approached Bree and invited her to sit at his table at school. The Order could very easily have programmed him to issue that invitation.

Wow! This is truely fascinating stuff! Seriously. Theories here rival the intense research being conducted in "the other thread".

And there are some stratling connections between the two. I almost fell out of my pilots seat when I followed the link to Religious Tolerance!!!(http://www.religioustolerance.org/mind_cnt.htm). I don't know if you knew this or not but that site is hosted by the Scientologists!

I found this page completely independent of the research being done here! It contians some hidden insights into the Gaylien conspiracy.!!! To find that it also addresses this insidious plot of SPin Art mind contriol is just....well it is just frightening!

I am frightened that we may have stumbled on to the secrets of the greatest most influential conspiracy of the ages. One that includes not just earth, but the minds and spiprits of beings throughout the universe.

I will report these findings in my next journal entry adn speak on it at the next GRC Scholars Consortium.

We very well could be on the brink of teoretical convergance. The crack in the wall grows wider!!!!

There was a Cassie mentioned by Bree...but we really don't know much about her.

Really? What evidence do you have to support that statement? If it's true, I'll be extremely disappointed -- I rely on the information on that website, sometimes even for work. If it's hosted by the Scientologists, I'll regard it as a lot less trustworthy.
