its a HUGE misconception on this board that the creators stated that opaphid was not canon.

they have NEVER stated that. I want to make that clear to everyone. NEVER once did they ever state that opaphid was not canon.

The only series that they have really official stated as fanfics were CiW ItsCassie Lordgreystoke422 Iris and HSAO.

They moderators moved OpAphid comments into the spin-off section, and the mods told us over and over again that it was because OpAphid wasn't canon. They even made fun of people like me who knew that Op was canon. We were absolutely led to believe that Op wasn't canon in every way.

Now I'm pissed, so I'm gonna leave for a while.

Until Bree has mentioned it by name and it's been moved into the cannon section, it's just not cannon. Period.

Will it be cannon? Who knows? Maybe someday.

But until it's an active part of the storyline and has it's own little cannon section of the board, it's still just fanfic.

I think what you are missing here, is that Op didn't start off as cannon, it wasn't made by the Creators. It wasn't cannon when it started (just like itscassie isn't right now). But it was well made and had an active following of it's own, so the Creators incorporated it into the cannon world.

When they were implying that it wasn't cannon, it wasn't. It became cannon down the road.

And I think the answer is as simple as this: Until the creators state something is cannon, it just isn't. That's what cannon is -- something that is claimed to be a part of the main storyline. If it hasn't been claimed, even if the Creators are personally producing it themselves, it just isn't cannon.

Yes. When it is canon, we will be TOLD specifically and the character will be moved into the canon section. Until then, it has no place in plot discussion or the video discussion areas.

Well, if Op wasn't meant to be incorporated from the beginning, whoever did her was a really creative, and had wonderful editing skills. Part of the reason I thought so from the beginning was because of the awesome editing. Maybe I was wrong, though.

Nobody argued that...that's why the Creators talked to the Op/Tach PM's and incorporated them into the canon story.

That's what is so awsome about this new genre that the Creator's are carving a path for.

There are so many talented people out there, with mad skills. And if you are one of them, you can create something that has a possibilty to become a cannon part of the story line.

Any of us could come up with the new character or group if we put some intesnse work into bringing it together and building a fan base. (okay, I couldn't because my talent stops at photoshopping Daniel and Bree into Satanic wedding avatars, but really not the point, lol)

Ah! Okay I didn't mean for this thread to start a big debate. All I wanted to know is if there is any solid reason in the canon videos that we should believe that Daniel has been bugged. Did he mention being hurt at all physically (I don't remember him saying so) or if it was just an idea influenced by the itscassie thing.

I mean the being brainwashed is obviously be a solid concern. There might be some leftover effects there. I just was confused where the whole idea of bugging him or implanting him with something came from, that is until I heard about the similiar idea in the itscassie videos (which I have known aren't part of the real storyline).

I don't remember him being hurt or anything...but the fact that he's been in the orders hands makes you wonder. I mean, even though they were swapping him...I don't think they were just going to let the boys off the hook, if that makes sense. I bet they planned on "taking care of them" after receiving Bree. I think it's odd, too, that in the video he posted where he finds the cameras in his room he says "You have nothing"...always seemed odd, but don't know if that part is relevant.

When he said the "you have nothing"..I always thought that meant more...it lead me to question "why does daniel have to hide?"
